Wuthering Waves is finally launched, come share your gaming experience!

My gosh! Talk about generous!! ✦.✦

I wasn't planning on making a post about Wuthering Waves for the time being, but after what I just saw on social media, I cant stay quiet anymore! JUST LOOK AT THIS: It was just LAST NIGHT that I wrote on one of their posts, saying that it would have been nice if every dialogue was skipable and less than 24 hours later, BAM! "We plan on making every type of story content skipable in our future update

My first monthly milestone...

The first month has passed and I'm really pleased with the game. What's really letting me go on so far in playing this game? Here are my pointers: Graphics - 5/5 As you can see, from dialogs to idle mode, everything I see is top notch. Nothing to complain about. One thing to look at however, is related to your device. Are you in a PC or a mobile platform? You can actually compare the difference at a glance.

Full counter Vs Holo Mourning Aix!

Didn't expect that the Full counter Meliodas team would perform so well! Holo Mourning Aix didn't stand a chance against my uno reverse team😁

Yinlin&Calcharo deleted Overgrown Chicken stage 3!

This fight could've been a lot better with a lot more dmg output if I haven't miss all the important part of the rotation, like Calcharo slam and so on. This Chicken just can't stay still😅! I Had to shift all my focus to doge at that time because all hit from that damn chicken could mean team wipe.

Is it only me or the first day WuWa was insane?!

I got so much stuff on the first frikkin day of playing wuthering waves and it's kinda insane. And not to mention there's even more to come! Right now I'm sitting with a Jiyan with signature weapon, a calcharo who I got from beginner banner and a 5 star sword which I obtained from the standard weapon banner AND.. a Verina which I got for free from the voucher! What about y'all? Tell me how blessed your first day was!

Brutal and honest long review👺

Wuthering Waves is a decent and generous gacha-anime-style open world game set in a post-apocalyptic universe tainted by tacite discords outcast aliens who can corrupt humans and infiltrate Solaris 3, one of the planets closest to the sun. Down here is the part may frustate some people👇 (Can't remove the actual fact that Wuwa is somewhat similar to genshin impact and ToF at some point.) (And what are these points? First and foremost, the gameplay of Wuthering Waves is nearly comparable to Genshin Impact. Granted, this isn't really uncommon. Many more open-world titles provide similar levels of exploring. Likewise Genshin Impact was also accused of being a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild clone prior to its release due to some early video and area examples. But the truth is, Wuthering Waves doesn't seem to have anything unique at launch that we haven't seen in Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy, or other titles.)

Overall I think genshin is better.

I've done the first 3 acts of WuWa and the story and EN voice acting is very mediocre. You get bombarded with an exposition dump of hard to remember chinese terms before being sent on a weird long errand quest that makes you question what you are doing in the first place. And I was annoyed that the first 3 or 4 characters I got all looked way too similar to each other. The combat is pretty complex though if you're into combos, more so than genshin I think. The APM required for the combos seems pretty high though so expect a lot more button mashing than what you see in genshin. Overall I think genshin is better.

What's your review on your first gameplay ?

For me, it’s actually quite disappointing. Wuthering Waves has made some useful optimizations based on Genshin Impact. In terms of combat experience, whether it's locking the camera, breaking moves, switching techniques, the controls are smooth in all aspects, meeting Kuro Games' strengths in the basics. However, beyond that, the feel of the open world, the distant views, dialogues, and camera angles, they are all similar to Genshin Impact (and a bit worse, to be honest). Is your project’s goal just to copy Genshin Impact? Yes, surpassing Genshin Impact is not easy, but Genshin is already at this level. To blatantly copy this openly is quite bold. Oh, and the map design is lacking. Some places are clearly not meant for exploration. Are the elevators really that fun? When almost everything besides combat is the same as in Genshin Impact, there’s not much to say. I could point out details one by one. What about the character and weapon gacha banners? Mixed banners, exclusive weapons, balance issues, high grinding requirements and more – but honestly,  these topics are all too familiar at this point. They're either typical of miHoYo, common in anime games, or typical of the "Chinese-style imitation mixed with anime-game" genre. Regarding these "bad practices," opinions could not be more abundant. To be honest, it’s really just Kuro Games’ combat mechanics wrapped in a Genshin Impact-like shell. That's pretty much the gist of the game.
What's your review on your first gameplay ?
Everything about this game is very good to me personally, i used to play other openword games. With me Kuro game is real generous in the game, the rate is so good for gamers, the weapon banner is oh la la~ exactly like "i want it, i got it!!". I love the way they grow the game and everything, it keep getting better day by day. Wuwa is the first openword game that i spent money in cause it give me alot of interest. So in the end i just want to say i super LOVE WUWA, i love the story, the gameplay (i gotta practice a lil bit), the music, the sound, the visual of the chars 🥵🥵 hehehehe (uk what i mean) and more ^0^

Cartethyia is finally here guys ! 🥳😭

I finally got my girl Cartethyia with 90 pulls . I lost my 50/50 to encore now she is R5 already. If kuro wants to make me lose a 50/50 please make it be Verina , she is the only standard I use . So Guys here is my Cartethyia build . She is a hp scaler which means you gonna have hell of options for her because , well THE GAME NEVER HAD A HP SCALER SO FAR . Anyways I was prepared so I hot her signatur but you don't have to if you don't have pulls at all . If u have pulls go grab her sig tge damage output is insane . Here , she can sure red spring (Camellya signatur) as a remplacement tge crit rate is good on here but you will need to watch that hp meter. It should go from 30.000 hp to 50.000hp

From Kuro to Hero ^^ (WUthering WAves V 1.3)

Hi Everyone!  I've been eager to review this game since its release, but I held off until now. I just can’t wait any longer, so here it goes! I’ve been playing *Wuthering Waves* on both Android and PC since day one. Here’s my take on it: Storyline:  The game is set in a dark, post-apocalyptic world. You play as "Rover," who can be either male or female. From the moment you wake up, you’re dealing with amnesia, and your mission is to unravel the mystery behind it. Along your journey, you’ll meet many companions who will stand by your side. Graphics: The visuals are stunning! From the forests, ruined cities, caves, seas, waterfalls, and skies—everything looks spectacular. If you have an RTX GPU, playing it on PC is a must for the full experience. Plus, I find it more stable than the mobile version. Controls: This can be tricky, especially if you're used to auto-battling in other games. You'll need some time to adjust and practice to perfect parries and dodges. Don’t worry, though—I've had moments of burnout and instant defeats too! But once you get the hang of it, the feeling is incredible. It’s like you’re the star of an isekai movie LOL. And it's because mastering dodge and parry is key to the game’s excitement. Sound:  Initially, the background music didn’t stand out, but I’ve noticed Kuro Games has been improving it over time. Now, it feels much more refined, and I think it’ll only get better. --- Pros:  - Character Design: Beautifully done! From their costumes and movements to their voice acting (I went with the Japanese VA), everything is well-executed, including their backstories and weapons. - Generous Rewards: From the start, Kuro Games has been incredibly generous with rewards, even giving us the underrated SSR character Xiang Li Yao. - Gacha System: My personal favorite! Unlike other games, you only need 80 pulls to guarantee a character’s signature weapon—no 50/50 nonsense. Even if you’re unlucky, you’ll get it by the 80th pull. I got Jinshi's signature weapon in just 10 pulls! - Frequent Updates: There’s always a new event at least once a month, with fresh main storylines, new places, characters, and of course, freebies! - Developer Responsiveness: The devs really listen to the community. For example, I requested Xbox gamepad support for Android in their questionnaire, and in the next update, they added it! So don’t hesitate to share your feedback with them. Cons:  - Compatibility Issues on Android: At launch, the game had some issues on Android—bugs, lag, overheating—even on high-end devices like the Snappy 9 Genz 9. But the Devs have been hard at work, and the game is much smoother now compared to version 1.0. --- Conclusion:  For gamers who love a good adrenaline rush, this game is a must-play. There are plenty of tough monsters waiting to challenge you! Feel free to share your own experience in the comments. Keep up the great work, Kuro Games, and I can’t wait for future updates and your amazing touches! See you in the game!

Wuthering Waves : Review

🎨 Graphics: The graphics are astonishing and if your phone/pc permits I recommend playing on max settings, it looks beautiful. The environment, enemy, heros, everyone is well planned and made. 🎮 Gameplay: The game play is so smooth you actually enjoy playing the heros, the fighting style is so fun to watch and looks so cool, the animation is phenomenal in flights, and they have added the features to learn combos for a particular hero you are playing and can't hit combo. The equivalent of artifect in Genshin Impact here is Absorbed frequency of the enemies you kill.

Art: 10/10 World building so far: 8/10 Probably will get better since it's still early. Lore: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Voice: 9/10 Concept: 9/10 Are we finally getting a villain Mc? Wuwa might have one of the most advanced gameplay compared to other anime open world. We can run on walls, flip up to tackle obstacles while running, jumping over obstacles, etc. It's just so fun to explore especially with the I forgot the name the flame rider echo. Anyway, wuwa's character models are unique, actually making each character different from one another (ex. Taoqi) and their graphics is 🔥 character designs however, in my opinion, is one of the best maybe even the best so far in the anime open world community. Lore is good (apocalyptic fantasy!!), but they are desperately baiting you so bad with constant flirting with villains or even just other characters 😂. I wish they would add a bit more humor to add to the pot it would make it more entertaining.

Early Tier List and Character Breakdown

from:@sspenguins From a personal perspective, I don't think early tier lists should matter too much. Many things will likely change from CBT2 to release, and the community will also learn more about the game and what works/what falls short. Even still, with combat being fast paced and skill testing, you can always try to make work with what you get. That's always part of the fun of gacha games. Even still, I would consider this the general consensus for the meta. Can't wait to see how wrong it is in a month. For the free characters, I figured rating them this early to be moot. Some characters provide comfort with healing (Baizhi), Yangyang for some mob grouping in exploration, Sanhua is solid DPS, etc. You'll get one copy for free, so give them a try and see if you like them in game rather than trust numbers from CBT2. 5-stars Brief Breakdown ------ Yinlin (event): Currently the only 5-star hybrid DPS (good on-field/off-field), great outro skill for electro dmg and liberation dmg buff. Her + Calcharo likely make the strongest damage pair in the game. Will release halfway through 1.0. Verina: OP support. Doesn't require much field time for her skills/energy generation, has ATK buffs, heals (can be nice), flexible on any team. Jiyan (event): I find it quite likely Kuro releases/tweaks him to be highest solo dps on release. He is the event character after all. DPS characters often get powercreeped over time, but on launch, big numbers help carry you through more content. Calcharo: Strong and solid DPS. Pair with Yinlin for the "meta" team most people are going for. On his own he's still good. Encore: Also good DPS character, likely competitive with Calcharo solo damage wise. Kuro also teased Changli, (likely fusion character for 1.1). Maybe this pairing will be as good as Calcharo + Yinlin. Lingyang/Jianxin: Kuro stated these two will get buffs/changes to their kit in their cbt2 feedback post (can't find the source again unfortunately, but screenshots are out there). These two were considered on the weaker side during CBT2, but I see no reason they won't be able to tackle tower/holograms. Lingyang has good damage, but was clunky to play due to his mid-air fighting. If you wanna be based and play on hard mode, Lingyang is your guy. The clunky playstyle can result in a big loss of damage. But maybe on release he'll get buffed to be a competitive 5-star. Also pairs nicely with Sanhua (free) for a Glacio damage duo. Jianxin is in an interesting position. Her kit has a bit of everything. Venti like grouping, shielding, aoe damage, and more. But many players found her clunky as her cast time is slow and forte circuit generation is also slow. Truly a jack of all trades character. But some players prefer dodging attacks and dealing bigger numbers. Gacha 4-stars ------ There are only four 4-stars that you can only get from the gacha. Here's a quick rundown. Mortefi: Great subdps and outro skill buffs heavy atk, making him a solid teammate for Jiyan/Calcharo. Aalto: Aero buff outro skill, fairly decent kit as a secondary dps, but doesn't have the same off-field impact as Mortefi. Danjin: Very high damage, plays like a Berserker, sacrificing your own health for damage. Great for Hologram/boss fights. Dodge and deal big numbers. Taoqi: Tank character that provides shielding. As a support, not as great as Baizhi/Verina. Can potentially play as main dps. Skill dmg buff outro skill. Defense scaling character. Damage is lacking though. But if you wanna fulfill the class fantasy of being a tank, go for it. Can also potentially help avoid one shots in hologram, not sure on the scaling for end end game. Free 4-stars ------ Rover: Solid choice to invest into. Decent kit, time stop outro skill, and free dupes. Yangyang: Good for exploration, can group enemies in a small radius. Chixia: Damage is underwhelming. Baizhi: Budget Verina, healer, and atk buff. Solid unit for comfort, not necessarily needed for boss fights, but great for comfort play. Sanhua: Solid Glacio DPS character. Can be played main/hybrid. Glacio dmg buff outro skill, but people aren't a fan of lingyang. With event 5-star glacio dps, can see this pair being quite good. Yuanwu: Electro off-fielder, but lacks outro skill that buffs other characters. Still not bad, but Yinlin effectively replaces him, unless you play without a healer/verina and go mono electro. You do You ------ Meta is temporary and always changing, and it's never wrong to just go for what you want. It's a pve game, and beating content with lower rated characters has it's own sense of accomplishment. Even still, I find tier lists and discussions to be informative for players. Just take things with a grain of salt since who knows what'll change from CBT2, or new characters can change the meta quickly.

Illusive Dream Difficulty V

I almost forgot about this, so I decided to sober up and try it again. I have discovered a lot of things along the way, but my main point is that you must choose your cards right when you start having the opportunity. It's the best way to build your Illusive character the best. Now that I got myself immersed in the game, I still can't believe how wonderful the combat is. What's more is that I have a lot of options when I start to actually strategize in-game. I hope you enjoy my journey to finish the last difficulty of the event. Not going to lie, but dang, my counter and evade skills is nuts, and in a not so good way, LMAO! <3

Describe their role...

Quickswap defensive sub dps? I find Taoqi's good when paired with Danjin bc she gets Danjin's Havoc boost and gives her shields. Just consume forte, liberation, skill, and your team is safe and you've dealt a nuke.

YinLin baby Killed Suzume

Well y'all know about the Suzume game mode that the game introduced not so long ago. There are other events too that have luxurious rewards but this one is just best. You can get tons of Sealed Tubes to level up your 5 star echoes. And Asterite for Gacha moment. Beleive me Farming these tubes are essential because these Yellow Aliens eat a lot of materials. I'll recommend sticking with characters that have high attack speed like ma Baby Yinlin. You can check my full build right at top, just swipe it.
