Metria is a fantasy JRPG developed by Asobimo Incorporated. It leans hard into the whole fantasy shtick, with hefty lore exposition dumps, a merry band of characters, and a wonderfully vibrant world that revels in the fun that comes with the territory. Metria operates on a pseudo open-world, which means that the game’s overworld isn’t as seamless as a typical open-world game is. Instead, it has its world sections split into zones, each with its own litany of enemies to fight and things to interact with.

Metria is an anime style open world action rpg game that is currently in Alpha testing for a limited time. Gameplay wise, Metria has you controlling your character with the left virtual joystick, and there is 4 attack buttons, 3 of which are your special attacks, and then your main attack, which you can hold down to continue attacking. I did notice that the 3 special attacks have very long cool downs, probably a lot longer than they should be. Makes the combat feel very slow. There is also a dodge roll and jump button as well.

I know this still in alpha test, but I review it anyway, also I will change this review after I tested the official release version. First impression : - asobimo is trying the "winning formula" too I see This review based on my 5 mins of gameplay. - feels unfinished, obviously since it's still alpha - not potato phone friendly, at lowest settings (the settings available as I write this review, maybe they will add more settings option in the future) my phone can run this but stutters alot

Metria is an action RPG game that recently had a global release on November 7, 2023. The game features a promising storyline, vibrant and colorful cel-shaded, anime-inspired graphics, third-person combat with various character classes, and seamless character switching. Metria primarily plays as a third-person hack-and-slash action RPG with seamless character switching, with a party of three. The game features traditional character tropes, each with their unique skills and playstyles, such as swordsmen, spearmen, mages, healers, and archers. There are two skills and one ultimate, all of which recharges without the need for mana. Players are to explore a world subdivided into small regions and a bunch of loading screens (fast but to frequent for my taste). Players can take on various quests to progress, as well as gather resources from the world to craft gear, build facilities, or cook consumables.

Metria just released in Open Alpha testing for a limited time only, and I jumped at the chance to play this intriguing upcoming anime open world action RPG game. And while it does have many flaws at the moment, which I can't fault since it's in Alpha at the moment, I can see the potential and hope that this game can succeed in the future. The game is more magical and you will explore the world to find out what happened to the character, I want to keep playing this game because it makes me curious who the main villain of this game is and also the graphics of this game are amazing and I didn't experience any lag while I play this one.
