What I love about this game is that I get to use powerful weapons and special treasures to help me in battles. One cool thing about this game is that it's the first of its kind to use the UE5 engine, which means the graphics are really good and make the game look amazing. This special feature makes this game different from other games and gives me an awesome and immersive experience in the ancient world of China.

It’s rare for me to see a game that drops the ball in so many different categories but Sword of Mystic Shu somehow manages to surprise me by striking out in all of them anyway. Writing is uninteresting and thoughtlessly written. The user interface is an ungodly mess, with the game throwing every SINGLE mechanic onto the screen even if the player hasn’t made progress to unlock those things yet. Combat is inoffensive but hopelessly outdated in this day and age.

Sword of Mystic Shu is a mess of an ARPG with poor writing, even poorer pacing and progression, wrapped up with tedious and mindless gameplay that nearly put me to sleep. Sword of Mystic Shu gameplay structure is very poorly integrated into its RPG foundation. Battles are not natural as quests must be accessed by taking a portal to an identical location of the area you’re in, this time devoid of everything else except the enemies you need to kill. All of this is also laced together with incessant loading screens between the areas, further wasting my time.

In this game, I get to explore an open world inspired by ancient Chinese culture. The map is huge and has lots of important places, different groups of people, magical creatures, and valuable treasures!! The game is all about improving my character both inside and out, with things like spiritual cleansing, advancing through different levels, and learning ways to become stronger. This is a must-try~
