With Thronefall we tried to strip a classic strategy game from all unnecessary complexity, combining it with some healthy hack and slay. Build up your base during the day, defend it til your last breath at night.
Will you be able to strike the right balance between economy and defence? Do you need more archers, thicker walls or an additional mill? Will you keep the enemies at bay with your longbow or charge your horse right into them? It's going to be a tough night, but nothing beats seeing the sun rise above your little kingdom to live another day.

Thronefall - First Impression: An IMPRESSIVE Base Building Tower Defense Game
Thronefall came out in Early Access on Steam and it's a super fun game to play, combining base building with tower defense, and you get to be more hands on by defending your base with your own character too. SHOULD I PLAY THRONEFALL?
Play it. Thronefall is a beautiful and engaging game that brings something different to the strategy genre. It plucks out the best parts of real-time strategy titles and takes elements from tower defense games to create the perfect combination of both genres in a challenging and wildly fun experience—resulting in gameplay where I’m attacking oncoming waves of enemies and building a base full of towers and farms to survive.

The day phase involves constructing your base using coins earned from various structures such as farms and houses. As well as structures for troops and upgrades, and defense installations. The strategic placement of these structures is predetermined, deviating from the typical freedom seen in many strategy games. While this limitation may seem restrictive, it streamlines the gameplay and focuses the player's attention on resource management and defensive preparations.
