Thronefall - First Impression: An IMPRESSIVE Base Building Tower Defense Game

Thronefall recently released in Early Access on Steam and this game is so much fun I didn't want to put it down. The gameplay of Thronefall has you building a base over a period of time, and when you run out of gold you have to brave the night and fend off the enemy forces while trying to keep the heart of your base alive. You earn gold from the houses, mills and pretty much every building you make, as well as when you kill the enemies. When you survive the night, all the gold will head towards you like you're a gold vacuum cleaner. You can also upgrade your buildings and walls to make them stronger. Also, if you fail to keep your base alive, that's okay, you will level up regardless of winning or losing, and you will get stronger unlocks because you leveled up. Which you can then use in your next attempts.

Have played the game in previous beta tests, and also enjoying the current one. So far, it was really great to experience the game and hope there'll be more from development team to try in the future ^-^ If you about to start the game yourself, make sure to get familiar with characters and their unique abilities first, and then get to know some basic skill combinations. That would help you to grind better during the gameplay.

At its core, Thronefall employs a straightforward gameplay structure divided into day and night phases. The day phase involves constructing your base using coins earned from various structures such as farms and houses. As well as structures for troops and upgrades, and defense installations. The strategic placement of these structures is predetermined, deviating from the typical freedom seen in many strategy games. While this limitation may seem restrictive, it streamlines the gameplay and focuses the player's attention on resource management and defensive preparations.
