In Factions, sound equals death. Walk (don’t sprint) unless you are sure no enemy is near. Sprinting shows you on the enemy’s radar. Use Covert Training 2 to become immune to listen mode while crouch walking. That means enemies cannot hear or “see” you through walls.
Listen mode is your radar. Tap R2 to hear enemy movements. But remember: enemies with Covert Training 2 won’t appear. So if you don’t see anyone but hear footsteps, they are hiding. Throw a smoke bomb into suspicious areas – it will force them to cough and reveal their position.
Flanking wins matches. Let your teammates engage the enemy from the front. While they shoot, you circle around. Use the Agility skill to climb faster and move silently. Approach from behind and shiv the enemy sniper or medic first. Then the rest of the team collapses.
Never revive a teammate in the open. First, throw a smoke bomb to block enemy vision. Or use a nail bomb to cover your position. If you have Reviver 2, you revive in half the time. A revived teammate keeps your team’s lives from dropping. Sometimes it’s better to let a downed teammate crawl to safety before reviving.
Closed maps (High School, Bookstore): Use a Shorty or Shotgun. Take Brawler 2 to win melee fights. Smoke bombs are great for crowded rooms.
Open maps (Lakeside, Suburbs): Use a Hunting Rifle or Burst Rifle. Equip Hawkeye 2 – marking enemies also highlights them in bright red for your whole team.
Mixed maps (Checkpoint, Dam): Carry a Revolver and a Semi-Auto Rifle. Use First Aid Training 1 to heal faster.
our team is down to 2 lives, enemy has 8. Don’t panic. Switch to a stealth loadout with Covert Training 3 (you cannot be marked). Separate from your teammate. Let the enemy hunt you – they will split up. Pick off isolated enemies with shivs and silenced weapons. Each kill gives you respawns if you have the Executioner skill. One skilled player can completely reverse the match.
Help your team by unlocking supply boxes – each box gives parts to everyone nearby. When you see a teammate in a firefight, don’t rush in. Instead, throw a stun bomb or shoot from a different angle. Teach your friends to always call out “low health” so medics can heal them. Remember: a team that crafts together, survives together.
