Suzerain is a very deep text based game thats very very heavily story based. It was very interesting but at the same time, it might just be a bit too overwhelming for me.
Gameplay wise this game throws a lot of text in your face. You need to read a lot, and make a lot of political choices as you start from being born, going to school, and college etc, all while making the various big life choices to shape you into the future president of the country.
You can choose to be more for the people, or maybe more military focused. Things like that. And once you finally get through the growing up and climbing the ladder to becoming president, the actual game begins. Once you get past that phase of the game, you have to attend meetings, look at graphs, read a LOT of political information on different parties and people. And honestly that's when I decided I had had enough.
Visually this game isn't much to look at. You have a lot of background images during your text based information and story content, and there's a map you can interact with as well. And plenty of portraits of the people you meet. But that's about it really. The main focus on this game is with the text information and graphs etc.
Overall I'd say that Suzerain is not the game for me. This is a lot to take in and I am not really a political person so reading all this and making these decisions is something I'm just not that interested in. This is not a bad game however. I did like the history side of it and the climb to power and all the choices, but once it got to the presidential side of the game, it was just too much for me to get invested in.
