The House of Da Vinci 2 an interesting puzzle game. I have never played any of the other games in this series, so this was my first experience with them and I have to say, this felt pretty unique compared to the other puzzle games I have played.
Gameplay wise, you start off in a prison cell, and you are given a letter with a key attached to it and are granted your freedom by an unknown person. But in order to get to meet this unknown ally, you must first do some pretty intriguing puzzles. You will find items around the place that can assist you, and the biggest twist to this puzzle game was the fact that once you unlock the time travel device, you can go back into the past and adjust puzzles there, in order to assist you in the present day.
Not only that, the game has fully voiced interaction scenes, something I wasn't expecting at all. Actually, just the fact that this game has any narrative at all was impressive to me. All the puzzle games I've played so far, either had the most basic narrative with no voice acting at all, or it had no story at all, and all you did was just solve puzzle after puzzle.
I think this is a really cool way to do it to be honest. It definitely got me pretty invested into it and didn't realize the time going past as I struggled and felt proud after solving each puzzle and moving on to the next one. Visually the graphics are really good too.
The 3D is very nice and animations are fairly decent too during the story scenes. The puzzles look detailed and honestly this is one of the best looking puzzle games I've played so far. Overall I'd say that The House of Da Vinci 2 is a well worth puzzle game for you to buy. Yes, this is a premium game, but for the current price of $2.99USD it's a very good deal. This game does seem to be on a sale, or maybe it's a cut price, but as of this moment that is the current price for the game. I think it's well worth it. Especially if you are a lover of puzzle games.
