During Ubisoft Forward, an event that showcased various games including Nexus and Mirage, a more extensive preview of the upcoming mobile game Assassin's Creed Codename Jade was revealed. This game, developed in collaboration with Tencent's Level Infinite publishing division, is a mobile-centric installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise set in China. Specifically, it takes place during the Qin Dynasty, following the Warring States period and bridging the gap between Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins.

One particularly noteworthy aspect highlighted in the presentation was the introduction of character customization. This marks a first for the series, allowing players to fully personalize their assassin character's appearance, encompassing options such as gender, attire, and other distinctive features.
In presentation, it was revealed that Codename Jade has made significant advancements since its initial announcement nearly a year ago. Additionally, it has recently concluded a technical alpha phase on iOS.
It’s also confirmed that the protagonist will be the apprentice of Wei Yu, a character that existed in the Assassin’s Creed lore since Assassin’s Creed II. Reportedly, the beta product will be online for 2 and half months, which gives us a good idea of how long it’ll be before AC Codename: Jade is released in full.

However, if the leaks are to be believed (and they seem credible), then AC Codename: Jade will require quite a powerful, up-to-date phone in order to run properly. It was noted that the beta product requires iPhone 11 minimum to run, and it soaks up a hefty amount of storage – almost 12GB in total.
