Contra is back and has all of the things you love about battle royale

Contra is back! Although, if you were expecting the classic side scroller, you'll be slightly disappointed. Contra: Tournament is a battle royale more reminiscent of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and PUBG Mobile than it is of the classic arcade shooter. With that said, this new rendition of Contra brings everything I loved about those battle royales; 100-player battles, massive maps, cool guns, and boss challenges with an awesome Contra skin.
Galuga Island is a massive battle zone where I dropped in via rocket to battle with my team to the top of the heap. The rules were familiar, drop in, collect weapons, stay in the safe zones, and eliminate our opponents until we were the last team standing. As fun as running around the map was, I did experience a bit of lag in my playthrough. I don't know if that was my phone or the current beta version of Contra: Tournament. Still, it was noticeable regarding different areas within the map and the time it took to load.
Contra Tournament had various weapons and skins to choose from, which will undoubtedly be monetized like in similar battle royales. Nevertheless, the extent it'll be PTW remains to be seen. I didn't drop a cent and had a good time playing, but this may be necessary to compete as more people join. The characters were also fun. I had five to choose from, each with different abilities and roles, and I can see adding more classic contra fighters and job roles as the game gets updated.
Ultimately, I had an enjoyable time playing Contra: Tournament, but at the moment, it really didn't seem all that different from similar battle royales on the market. If you're a big Contra head, this will be right up your alley, but if you're happy with other battle royales, not much here willl make you switch over.

Contra: Tournament - A Quick Game Review
Contra: Tournament is an action shooter mutiplayer mobile game. Honestly, this game reminded me of PUBG right away with the basic gameplay features but with classic CONTRA characters in it. For a classic 2D adventure contra player like me, this game is certainly being presented in different gameplay style compared to its classic gameplay mode. None the less, the graphics, audio and massive open world are quite awesome in this game where our contra characters can do lots of stuff. Personally, I liked the character artworks and attack animations in this game which feels quite real and nice.
