It's been a year since the First Test, and Zenless Zone Zero has finally got some exciting news!! At the Gamescom in the early hours of today, it released a new trailer featuring new Interaction systems and Combat elements.
Though it's just over one minute long, it's packed with content, let's delve into each of the details.
⭐️ Three New City Block
The trailer starts by showing three brand new city block settings.
- These include a Street Exit covered in graffiti on walls and ground, Brant Street Construction Site that has a subway station nearby and seems very industrial, and the Ballet Twins Road, where a "Thinker" statue stands in the middle of the area.
🍭 Favor Ability System similar to 'Hangout Event' in Genshin
- At first, the scene seemed combat-related, but after clicking in, it appears to be like 'Hangout Event' in Genshin Impact, where you can interact with characters daily.
🔍 Real-Time System with more possibilities
- Time in the upper right corner of the screen progresses from Sunday daytime to Monday night, then to Thursday. I'm more curious about whether it might affect some special character dialogues or side quests and open up more possibilities.
⭐️ Perfect Assist — The most amazing part with Parry Mechanic
- A new combat feature that can be understood as QTE. There are three types: Defensive assist, Evasive assist and Offensive assist.
- Judging from description of "Perfect" and the following gameplay, the triggering condition may require high timing requirements for 'Perfect Assist'.
✔️ In the subsequent combat scenes, the parry mechanic is soooo amazing
- If they can be chosen freely, it means we have more operational space when switching characters, a smoother and more refreshing combat experience, and possibly even more dazzling combat operations.
- Before the enemy launches an attack, there will be a flash prompt. Catching the moment they strike allows you to parry, and initiating a parry not only comes with a cool close-up and ringing sound effect, but can also quickly increase the enemy's imbalance value. After that, you can follow up with a continuous and impressive combo attack.
✨ Sound and Effect optimizations: the most impressive part of the combat demo
- The crisp and pleasing sound effect when Anby drew and parried her sword is amazing!! Moreover, special effects for characters like Soijkaku have noticeably changed.
⭐️ The arcade mini-games appear entertaining
- In Zenless Zone Zero, we should be able to "play games within the game". And there are surely many more mini-games that they haven't showcased yet.
Overall, just like its overwhelming artistry, Zenless Zone Zero always impresses us whenever it comes onto the scene.
It's regrettable that they didn't announce recruitment or specific dates for the second test at the Gamescom. Can't wait!!
the assist thing is like a fighting game assist. u can call your other character to do an attack while you're doing stuff, u can call them to help u escape or u can just parry. it's like a tag team fighting game

it's nice but how about the optimization in mobile ,we all know that almost hoyoverse games are very heavy for mobile for those who have mid to low range phones ,I hope this game is more optimize than other hoyo games cuz it's so cool I can't wait to play it but I think the release is 2025 or early 2026 but I'm not sure
