Despite its triumphant blend of energetic ground combat and colossal, mechanized warfare, Titanfall 2 fell short commercially due to an ill-fated release schedule. Positioned between the behemoth franchises of EA's Battlefield 1 on October 21 and Activision's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4, 2016, Titanfall 2 was overshadowed despite being a gem in its own right. Contrary to EA CEO Andrew Wilson's prediction that the sequel would outperform the original Titanfall, sales figures contrasted bitterly, with Battlefield 1 and Infinite Warfare selling around 15 million units, versus Titanfall 2 lagged at 4 million copies sold.
The sales disparity led to Titanfall 2 being discounted just weeks after its launch. The game's issues were further exacerbated by unaddressed hacking and matchmaking problems, which left fans feeling deserted. Despite the dedicated fanbase's lament for Titanfall 3, the response from developer Respawn remained negligible.
However, in an unforeseen turn of events, Titanfall 2 recently received an extensive update:
- Fixes to matchmaking and servers, making the game stable and fully playable again.
- Changing geometry on some maps, fixing glitches and out of bound exploits. Little Nessie plushies with hammers were put in these spots as an Easter egg/signature.
- Adding new and returning gamemodes in a rotating playlist, which has been updating regularly ever since.
- Putting the private matches out of beta.
Intriguingly, a cryptic 'Nessie Transmission' recently added to Apex Legends patchnotes, referencing release dates of the Titanfall series and Apex, has stirred speculation in the community. The seventh anniversary of Titanfall 2 looms on October 26, conveniently coinciding with the finale of the current Apex season on October 31. We are wondering if these covert nods, along with the surprise game update, hint towards a much-anticipated announcement - could Titanfall 3 finally be on the horizon?

Ok so titanfall 2 is my favorite game of all time! It is THE best. The campaign is just muua and people say tat it is the best campaign ever and I agree! I won't spoil the story and I usually grind multiplayer any ways I love this game I hope you see what I see in this game thanks.

Can we expect a full premium Call of Duty release in 2023?
It's safe to say that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is off to an incredible start. I mean, what else do you call it when a title manages to pass $1 billion (Yes, with a B) in two weeks? A hit, that's what! So, what is the next logical step when you have a monster title raking in as much cash as COD? Thinking about the next Call of Duty, of course.
In its latest release, Activision noted plans for a new, "full premium" Call of Duty game in 2023. Although, it's rumored this might only be an expansion to the current Modern Warfare II. I've still gotta say, Damn! Not two weeks after the release of MWII, we're already talking about another title?! Is it possible to OD on Call of Duty? Nah, I'm just kidding. I can't get enough.
