Witchfire is honestly Addicting [60-Sec. Review]

Short Story: Almost everywhere you look these days, you see game after game coming out with online-only or multiplayer features, but never a solid down-to-earth single player game that feels like it's been handled with care by the developers rather than rushed out the door before it's even cooked long enough to be functional. I'm talking about you, PayDay 3... WitchFire is a roguelike that incorporates numerous souls-like characteristics and makes them function, despite the fact that it is still in Early Access.

With is Rogue - Lite elements, to it's fast paced First Persoon shooter gameplay. The game is set in a dark fantasy world where you play as a Preyer. A witch hunter who was anointed by the Pope himself. You must lay waste to all the demons and witches all while trying to stay alive.

Witchfire is a Rogue-like, dark fantasy, first-person shooter and is one of those games that absolutely nail the atmosphere. In a world gone awry by dark magic, you stand alone as a Preyer, an inquisitor out to dispense the church’s justice. From its bleak setting and gothic overtones, Witchfire immediately thrusts you into its setting and immerses you completely. But the maps need some polish. This is to be kind of expected since the game is still in early access, but I straight up fell inside a rockface during one of my runs and couldn’t get out without killing myself.
