Want to experience the wonder and excitement of exploration but without all the stress that comes from a hardcore platforming game? Then this new cozy climbing game from the developers of Life is Strange may be just what you're looking for.
Titled Jusant, this chill game is all about climbing a massive, mountainous tower full of mysterious remnants of a lost culture. Players will have access to a number of different tools to help them scale the tower, and the game will have multiple paths to explore.
While Jusant will have challenges to overcome, such as stormy weather and a stamina meter that determines how far you can climb, it's also a game that's openly not focused on difficulty. Developer Don't Nod says it has "meditative vibes." Players even get a cute little buddy in their backpack to help keep the nerves calm.
If you're ready to start climbing, you can get started right away. Jusant will be available later today for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. A price hasn't yet been announced, but there is a free demo for the game available now on Steam. Watch for a quick review from one of TapTap's editors soon.

SHOULD I PLAY JUSANT?
Play this one, especially if you like platformers, puzzlers, or just outside-of-the-box storytelling. Jusant (French for ‘receding tide’) is a classic example of show-don’t-tell storytelling and is one of those games that’s really hard to nail down in a particular genre. That being said, climbing up a virtual mountain has never felt so relaxing, frustrating, and rewarding in what is probably one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve had this year.
