SHOULD I PLAY THE CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE III SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN?

Yes, especially if you’re looking for something adrenaline-filled and action-packed that you can beat in under five hours!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is taking some criticism for its short campaign length, but in an age where completing a game often involves removing yourself from all social obligations and devoting your entire life to finishing the task, I appreciated being able to digest it in a single setting. Despite the naysayers, I thought the single-player campaign had great visuals, memorable moments, and fun mission objectives that allowed me to complete stages in a nonlinear fashion. And for those complaining about the length, might I suggest increasing the difficulty level!

TIME PLAYED

I spent around five hours on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III campaign on my PS5 throughout the weekend. I admittedly replayed quite a few missions, and the fun part was going back and finding new ways to complete my objectives.

WHAT’S AWESOME ABOUT THE CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE III SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN?

• The Combat. It’s no secret that most of us turn to Call of Duty for the combat, and Modern Warfare III doesn’t disappoint in this department. From the first mission, everything I love about the series and its fast-paced action was there. I loved taking over the prison, engaging in a riot, and, of course, blasting my way to victory. The variety I’ve come to love was also present. Whether I was firing on an army of hostiles from a gunship aircraft or engaging in darker missions like responding to a mass shooting incident in an airport, the gunplay was always superb and the action kept me on the edge of my seat.
• The spectacular visuals. Playing Modern Warfare III on my PS5 felt like being in a James Bond or Jason Bourne movie. Graphics were crisp and clear, and they flowed smoothly whether I was parachuting off a ledge, fighting in close combat situations, or using an RPG on an enemy tank. Call of Duty has once again pushed the envelope of what is visually possible in today’s games.

• The big bad. Russian ultranationalist and terrorist leader Vladimir Makarov has some great moments in
Modern Warfare III that will make you absolutely despise this character. I won’t give away any spoilers, but they’re memorable and seal the fates of some fan favorites. If the goal was to create a memorable bad guy, then mission accomplished.

WHAT SUCKS ABOUT THE CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE III SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN?

• The huge download. Seriously, this file size was over 200GB on my PS5, and I needed to rearrange my entire storage drive just to launch the game. When combined with the screenshots and captured footage, my PlayStation is essentially a Call of Duty machine now.
• Recycled maps. Some maps are ripped right from Warzone, and although I appreciate the nostalgia and trying to make them relevant in Modern Warfare III, it would’ve been nice to see more new additions.

if you are looking for a campaign of 4 hours play it, but I prefer enjoying a game where both campaign and multiplayer are good

I’m sick of people complaining about the Modern Warfare III single-player campaign
Call of Duty is a colossal franchise that’s been going strong for two decades. It’s the template we use to judge an FPS, and it’s pushed the boundaries of what a shooter can achieve. In other words, it’s freaking awesome. Obviously, the Call of Duty series has received plenty of acclaim. That said, people have been outright ravenous about munching up the negative press for Modern Warfare III’s single-player campaign. It’s like a group of mindless zombies have been programmed to hate everything about it

The worst campaign in perhaps all of COD? | Review - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Campaign
✨Overview Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III marks the continuation of the rebooted Modern Warfare series and picks up the story where the previous game, Modern Warfare II, left off. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare III aimed to blend the best of Call of Duty's past with innovative new elements, such as the integration of Call of Duty: Warzone into its gameplay. Call of Duty campaigns have consistently been celebrated as exceptional single-player experiences, distinct and detached from the intense multiplayer gameplay for which the franchise is also renowned for. These campaigns offer players a gripping narrative, often set in diverse and immersive environments, replete with cinematic moments and heart-pounding action. They serve as an excellent showcase of the franchise's dedication to delivering compelling storytelling, character development, and thrilling set pieces. Well, this year, it's unfortunate to see that the campaign has not lived up to the high standards set by its predecessors, especially in this era of $70 AAA games. What's worse than Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's lack of a campaign? It’s Modern Warfare III’s campaign that has truly lost the soul and depth of the franchise. Sledgehammer Games dropped the ball on this one, likely because MWIII was released just one year after MWII, breaking from the usual three-year development cycle., which didn’t leave a lot of time for development.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III EARLY REVIEW - Good or Bad?
Why should Multiplayer or Zombies be restricted? The base game, albeit short and anticlimactic, with more questions than answers, continues to demonstrate how disconnected the developers are from the community and what we would consider decent campaign gameplay with decent optimization and less crashes. I haven't played Call of Duty in a long time, but aside from visual visuals and voice acting, it doesn't feel like anything has changed. It's the same on-rails game you remember, just a little less entertaining owing to age.
