Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is a 2D pixel art metroidvania game and is the fifth installment in the Momodora game series. Although the story is largely standalone, it is set five years after the events of Momodora III, plunging players into the midst of a demonic invasion triggered by an ominous bell toll. The village of Koho is in peril, and Momo Reinol is tasked by the matriarch to investigate and eliminate the bellringer responsible.

I started this game to try and get into metroidvanias. I never thought I'd like it so much. The game style is something I just love. The story is moving and props to the graphics, it's truly something to marvel at. The controls are great too. The difficulty is also great. I have never played a metroidvania before, and this was just easy enough to be motivated and just hard enough to die a whole lot (169 respawns so far). Good job MOON studios! I can't wait to play the sequel.
