Here is some of my Ruby gameplay. I’ve been trying to incorporate Ruby more and more into my tank rotation. I’m pretty certain I’m going to be maining Fade, Ruby, and Tigris at this point. My Ruby understanding is pretty solid. There are a few things I’ve noticed with my gameplay that need some improvement. But also I need to fully max out Ruby as well to get full potential of the hero.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Movement - Ruby utilization of her moving shield is key to get full utilization of her kit. There were moments where I could have incorporated the shield a little more into my 1v1 engagements.
Risky Plays are Simply that - High risk, high reward is sometimes not worth it. Taking wild flank tank plays are not always optimal especially when you’re (at the moment) the only tank in play. Try to stay objective focused and let the DPS, well, DPS.
Not Reading the Player Counter - if I would have read the Player Counter I would have known that Damion was coming out of spawn so that play wasn’t the most optimal.
AREAS I DID WELL:
Stun to Close Gaps - utilizing Stuns to close gaps on enemies is key. Because of Rubys spread, distance is still decent, but her bread and butter is right in the opponents face. Instead of hitting an opponent with one or two cards, they are catching the entire deck to the head.
Headshots Are Key - With my (unfortunately not maxed out) Ruby, her cards individually hit for 495 damage, with her single burst sending out three cards with a total of 1500 damage per shot, it’s paramount that you try to get close and land all three projectiles. I was able to clean up a lot of enemies because of her damage output.
Stunning for Someone Else’s Kill - I sometimes (if my 1v1 engagement is through) try to stun other opponents to assist my teammates with their kills. It’s important to keep and eye out for engagements going south for your teammates.
HERE ARE THE STATS FOR THE GAME:

How active or alive is this game? I feel like I’m playing with bots

A few questions: 1: Are you just getting started (you have under 15 matches)? 2: Are you accidently using "quick mode"? (because "multiplayer mode" is needed to get just real players) If you just started, the game will put you in bot lobbies to let you get familiar with a few hero's and understand map layout. T3 Arena doesn't publish any actual numbers (like a lot of online games). You'll always see a lot of new names at the beginning of the season, and drop off mid season. The game is alive....is it well? That's a hard question to answer because there's no data backing up mine or anyone's statement on the matter. Its a fun game if you're interested, and I'm pretty sure (about 80% sure) that we will have at least 4 more seasons. But currently there are whole discord servers for devoted T3 fans/players and pretty frequent tournaments. Hope to see ya out there.

This is super helpful for me. I keep trying to play her but if I go down twice I switch off to someone else from lack of knowing her strong suits. Same with Zaa

Author likedTrying to break out a hero your’e not that experienced with is tough. Try to go into TDM and practice that hero (on multiplayer mode of course, we want real people) for like a whole afternoon. The point isnt to win (even tho that would be nice) the point is to build up that familiarity with that hero. And when you do break that character out in 5v5/ranked just make sure that you stick it out. The big picture is to learn, eventually success/win rate will come. Quick Ruby tip: Her middle sheild can take the most damage compared to the outer two shields, so try to work yourself either from right to left or left to right when you are having 1v1 engagements. Weave yourself between the sheilds to reduce as much potential damage in engagements as possible. Hope this helps☺️
