📖 Storyline: Among the hundreds of horrors born from the Second World War, the one that most aroused a reason for development for modern society was punctuated by the "Cold War" in an unbridled race for nuclear arms, the period from the end of the conflict until the beginning of the 1990s, saw the two major world superpowers as protagonists: the USA and the USSR. Translated into no-holds-barred competition in areas such as aerospace engineering and technological progress, which has helped shape the world as we experience it today. Agent Bishop is connected to this golden period by focusing on the events of the secret organization C.O.U.N.T.E.R., committed to maintaining balance and eradicating the nuclear threat coming from the East and the West, which sees none other than the Moon as its objective. It will be Bishop's task to infiltrate a base of the coalition of Imperialist States or one of those belonging to the Socialist Republic.
🎮 Gameplay: It tells the daily life of a spy.. code name: Special Agent Bishop. A hero in a strict suit with a wiry body who finds many ways to eliminate opponents! We will have to face two dozen missions stealing files and then transferring them to the central office, all seasoned with stealth and action infiltrations. In his arsenal there is always some cunning gadget that instantly kills or disarms the enemy. Our hero's reaction, in the presence of an enemy, is comparable to the evolutions of the characters in the "Matrix" film trilogy, skillfully dodging bullets, performing acrobatics in hand-to-hand combat, etc. not valid for intermediate bosses since each of them is cunning, strong and dangerous in his own way !! These bosses are led by an AI, not even comparable to the opponents of Metal Gear Solid on consoles, as they are ruthless with upgraded weapons and an increased health bar! We can't get out of this using just one knife! Therefore, we will have to try different strategies until we find two or three suitable weapons to take them out. Along the way he will encounter guards, hidden ninjas, expert assassins and sophisticated criminals. Just a little bit is enough to increase performance anxiety with an annoying "DEFCON" alarm which by flashing increases the emotional alert state, in fact, this level (variable between the lowest 5 and the highest 1) will also indicate the number of attempts that we will have available to complete our task. Getting killed, letting a guard communicate an alarm via radio or being caught by surprise by a camera means 'losing' a DEFCON level, until the inevitable countdown by which we will have to reach the computer at the end of the level, under penalty of Instant Game Over 😖 So to avoid this you should follow my suggestions. There are two ways to defeat them: fight in the open, hiding behind handholds, or use gadgets to go unnoticed. The gameplay is very pleasant and with its interesting plot we will be able to get all the information and discover the terrible secret that hides behind the dark espionage.
🕹️ Controls: The textures are equal to the consoles, being a port, from PS3, PS4, PS5 and psvita! The on-screen controls do not exist, or rather they do exist but you just have to tap the screen on the left to move and/or swipe your finger further forward on the screen to magically see a straight red line appear which is nothing more than the viewfinder and tapping your thumb on the right side a shot goes off (depends on the weapons), instead, to hide behind finger grips downwards and climb the stairs upwards. The missions are all solo, supported only by a choice of ultra-technological gadgets and weapons (borrowed from other special agents: Ratchet And Clank played on Ps2) as in the best spy-story tradition, with the aim of recovering plans and information relating to the launch bases of the warheads. In addition to opening lockers and collecting data via computer (both actions that can be carried out by simply pressing the finger on the object), the only other activity that will allow you to interface with the scenarios will be to hide behind specific shelters, crawling the finger downwards, as in the best of cover shooters (remember coverfire man in brother3, etc. for android? ) as well as opening lockers and collecting data via computer (actions that can be carried out by simply pressing the thumb on the screen proximity to the object), the only other activity that will allow you to interface with the scenarios will be that of hiding behind specific cover, as in the best of cover shooters. In these cases, the camera moves, once sheltered, from two-dimensional to 3D to offer a third-person view more suited to firefights, the management of which becomes increasingly more difficult as the number of enemies on the other side increases of the barricade! Be careful to study the scenario, there are usually exposed cables and water tanks or red TNT crates. I underline this because even a number greater than the two opposing units can prove lethal and make us start the first mission all over again.
🇮🇹 Personal Conclusions: An excellent work by all those elements that have accompanied spy fiction from its beginnings to the present day: Just listen to the Russian slang of the opponents who immediately catapult us into scenarios with propaganda signs and dubbing acted in an convincing, although not full of jokes. The aspect that struck me most is the excellent realization of the level design which brings to mind some caricatural elements of Team Fortress 2! And what about the animation sector? Perfectly in line with the stylistic tone of the entire game, as well as a very perfect color palette and made even more credible by the '70s film' filter that accompanies intermission scenes and game phases and the sound component with a selection of music and sound effects that wouldn't look out of place in a period Bond movie.
