What I've read vs. What I've tried - A Bandori EN Special

What I've read vs. What I've tried - A Bandori EN Special

As the title said, this is my article regarding how people mostly see the EN server of Bang Dream! Girls' Party. I am a player of the JP server, and still having fun on it, despite me being on hiatus for a few months due to lack of free time.
Before I start pointing my takes on this article, please take into consideration that my basis on this came from my Poco X6 Pro that despite being classified as midrange phone, its power is comparable to an SD 8+ Gen 1 phones, which was on its flagship levels back in the day. This is a very affordable phone with updated drives and will keep us updated for a long, long time. While at it, I personally recommend this phone as a go to if you are tight on budget, yet still aiming for a powerful phone (of course, excluding the cam - do not make me go there).
To start, what is Bang Dream! Girls' Party? This is a rhythm game - you tap notes accordingly and mechanics depend on the song you play. Tutorial is always available when you start playing it. It's very engaging, yet you don't really have to spend time on it as your actual gameplay is just through playing songs. Unlike other genres where you need to actually monitor your progress, here, the only basis is your mechanical skills. Since it just requires practice and no actual brainpower to use, I highly recommend this game to play, even if you're a super casual mobile player. Trust me - the first time I got hooked by it, I lasted more than 6 hours of playing it. It's that good, to the point of me trying to break my phone screen due to playtime.
Moving forward, what's so special about the EN server? A few things:
*It's already translated to universal language
*Delayed content - I can catch up to the content I missed in the JP server
*Global update - I don't really need to take my time preparing the app other than opening Google Play Store. For other servers, you'll need access to their app by having third party store app.
What I witnessed so far from the EN server is that people say that the game is lagging, fps is dropping, and so on. This will be my highlight then related to this article as some say the game is almost unplayable. Here are my findings so far after exploring:
*The game is lagging - The only reason my notes go on "GREAT" too many times is due to me being rusty. I just came back a few days ago and I have trouble clearing AP on a level 26 song even though it's not the case when I was active before. Though I'll give advise to those who are recording the game using an old phone. DO NOT USE the phone's screen recorder. Use other app. This is apparent on my old Xiaomi phone. I experienced delays on the audio itself, including stuttering and crashing. Let's admit, even midrange level move forward. We can't consider some phones anymore as midrange when it was released a few years ago. The gap between expectations and reality is too wide. They're not as powerful as before as apps are requiring more power despite optimization in every update they do.
*I experience FPS drops - well, my phone's running just buttery smooth fine, even on "hi" settings with 3DMV. I've showcased all of my gameplay as posted here along this article, though take a bit of salt as you might see that there a few drops, all of it are just from the in-game recording. The reality is better than expected.
Few things I want to take note of:
*120 fps support available? I'm not sure if they already applied that, but it's running unexpectedly good ever since the huge update.
*Some text are still not translated. It's not impacting to the actual gameplay, but experience wise, it's a little bit discomforting. It's the reason that I play on EN - being capable of reading your dialogs.
*I'm glad that the baby shark song is not being spammed anymore in the multi live. I remember it being my reason to stop playing on the EN server.
That's it for me. If you read and played my clips this far, thank you for your time! I'll highly appreciate it. In case you think I've missed some stuff, let me know by replying to my post. I'll make sure to look into it! See you in the Bang Dream! EN server! I hope I can play with you soon!
