Dead by Daylight is an online asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game by Behaviour Interactive. One player is the Killer, while four others are Survivors. The Killer hunts and sacrifices Survivors to appease the Entity, while Survivors must evade capture and power up generators to escape. It's a game absolutely packed with murderous monsters, both original and licensed from other franchises.
The next crossover is a little bit outside of the usual horror wheelhouse — Dead by Daylight is producing a chapter themed around the wildly popular tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons.
New Killer: Vecna
Vecna, known in-game as The Lich, will be the game’s next Killer. Vecna is joined by a pair of Elven bards, one male and one female, who will serve as the new Survivors.
Vecna brings magical abilities to the game, offering players unique gameplay experiences. The announcement reflects the franchise's growing popularity and commitment to delivering diverse content.
More Crossovers to be Anticipated
Dead by Daylight is expanding its universe with various licensed chapters and original content. The crossovers include Dungeons & Dragons, inspired by the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the recent D&D movie. The game will feature a Stranger Things-themed chapter, with elements tied to the iconic D&D villain Vecna. Additionally, a cross-over with the Castlevania franchise is in the works, with details expected later in the summer.
For fans who prefer original content, Behaviour showcased other games set in the Dead by Daylight universe. "The Casting of Frank Stone" is a branching narrative game from the developers of Until Dawn, while "What the Fog" offers a cute and absurd take on the game's universe in a two-player co-op format.
When will the Crossover Come
The Dungeons & Dragons DLC is coming to the test realm today, and the chapter will release on live servers on June 3 on PC.
