the glass staircase, known just as “Glass Staircase” mentioned before is a game created by Puppet combo and a developer by the name of Benedetto Cocuzza in 2019. MXXN’s, one of puppet combos many labeled composers helped with the music on the game. The glass staircase is formerly a much more unknown Puppet Combo game that is considered in the genre as “Puppet Combo Waste”. Glass staircase as itself represents a very dark story and a gorey one, if you have played a Puppet Combo game (excluding Nun massacre since this game focuses much more differently), you could understand how dark this goes.

the summary of the story produced by Puppet combos Fandom Wiki, says that there are servant girls that the player can control, these servant girls go by the name of Helen, Betty, Dortothy, Margaret. they are hired as “test subjects” noted by the game by a WWI veteran that is suffering from PSTD, that is “Dr. Edward Sullivan.” later on, the girls would find and be gradually picked off by a unseen, weird monster. leaving only Margaret remaining to escape fully. the girls are hired to do their chores in a empty masion with dreams of getting their freedom. The Veteran, which iam gonna only call him Dr, owns the estate. upon his return Dr experiences PSTD known as heat, when he sees visions of an eldritch god. this PSTD visionary spreads around the world like a virus and brings forth a cult of fanatics and ungodly creatures dedicated to the resurrection of this god. with their support Dr surgically resurrects the dead in a failed attempt to provide the god an avatar to possess. littering the mansions underground laboratory with ungodly creatures as mentioned. Margaret would be assigned to fight her way to escape and fighting Drs ungodly creatures with a rifle and escapes the mansions underground.

(1) as you could already see, the Glass Staircase is one of the many “typical ” puppet combo games. it also is typically average within the classic puppet combo pricing selling at 5.10 USD. (in itch.io)

(2) later on, in 2024 it wouldve been released in Consoles. Puppet combo has been aiming to release most of is games in Mobile and Consoles but mostly focusing on console platforms, as the only mobile games so far are Nun Massacre and Stay Out of the House (documentary coming soon!).

Margaret as mentioned before, is one of the many main characters in The Glass Staircase. her appearance is usually a young black girl with a youthful look with short afro hair. like the other servant girls she wears a cream whit dress with pearl white straps and black flats. she’s the tallest out of Helen, Betty and Dorothy.

Personality of Margaret, a Skeptical girl or just Suspicious?

as mentioned before, unlike the other servant girls margaret appeared to be Skeptical and was generally distrustful of the announcements in the mansion. having her suspicions about the promise of being returned home for compliance. never taking her medicine and disobeying any commands given from the intercom, due to her rebellious nature she was considered an outliner and was informally shunned by the remaining servants. despite this margaret would attempt to dissuade the others from leaving and encourage them to question their orders, showing that while aware her warnings would likely go unheeded. she still cared about their well-being (the remaining servants.) she later displayed acts of incredible tenacity and calm under fire during her escape.

Role of Margaret

Roles of margaret stretches from a main protagonist and a supporting character. and her role in the game is to be tasked with completing assigned chores across the empty estate in exchange for a eventual return to their respective families like the other remaining servants. of the girls, margaret was the most defiant one and was never seen complying with Drs requests.

Her days in The Glass Staircase

{Day 1 - Day 3From Day 1 to 3, Margaret can be seen standing around the servant's quarters, first staring out the window, then next to her bed, and finally close to the door. If interacted with, Margaret will typically try to convince the girl to question the intercom's intention but always falls on deaf ears.Day 4After Helen, Betty, and Dorothy all go missing, Margaret is seen standing in the now-partially ruined bunkroom. She unlocks the door with a lock pick and arms herself with a rifle on the ground, with a note urging the reader to enter the laboratory below to "kill it". Following the directions, she unlocks the building leading to the secret underground bunker, where she encounters a large, shambling monster. from which she must hide while exploring. She soon finds Dorothy, naked and holding a knife, in the lab's morgue and tries to talk to her, only to be attacked without warning. With no other choice, Margaret kills the insane Dorothy with the rifle. Through numerous journal entries, Margaret eventually learns that the servant girls were being used as test subjects for Doctor Edward Sullivan's experiments, who is working for a cult of fanatics attempting to give an eldritch god a corporeal form through human hosts, thus far unsuccessfully, and that the daily announcements had all been pre-recorded. After entering the main experimentation room, the monster, which private letters identified as the now heavily mutated Dr. Sullivan, jumps from above and attacks Margaret, but she manages to take it down with several rifle shots. Margaret then activates and overloads the pylons, fleeing into the estate's catacombs just as the entire lab explodes into a fiery inferno. As she traverses the tunnels, Margaret witnesses several desiccated bodies rising from their tombs before they attack her. She fights off the hostile test subjects and makes it back to the manor, but as she heads for the front door, the monster, having survived the fight and the explosion, bursts through the doors while lit on fire and charges at Margaret. After an intense fight, Margaret blows its head off, killing it once and for all. Margaret leaves the manor and, as a sign of relief, drops her rifle. Outside, she is greeted by a man in black who asks her if she is "ready to go", to which Margaret replies with "yes". As they drive off in an unmarked car, Helen, Betty, and Dorothy are seen standing on the balcony, waving goodbye to their friend. Trivia of Margaret

|Maragert is one of the only two non villain protagonists who succeed in directly killing the games main antagonist, the other being Janet from “Meat Cleaver Mutilator.”

|according to Ben Cocuzza or “Benedetto” as mentioned, Margaret is the only puppet combo protagonist capable of killing the mcDonalds character grimace… thats interesting.

Helen

helen is a young caucasian girl in her mid to late teens with black hair in pigtails. helen is the shortest.

{Day 1Helen wakes up in the servants' quarters and shortly after, the intercom asks Helen to report to the dining hall for her next chore. While Betty and Dorothy congratulate her for being on a fast track to leave for home, Margaret simply says that she shouldn't go. The door will remain locked until Helen takes the tablet on the drawer besides her bed.Entering the living area, Helen finds a note with instructions telling her that the estate has judged her to be "reliable" and that she is now the manor's landscaper. From now on, she is to regularly "feed" and water the flowers and cut the hedges, for which she is being provided with a key to the front door, which has been hidden in the piano for safekeeping. Helen is told to keep up her current behavior, since it will ensure her returnal to her parents, and keep this privilege a secret from the rest of the girls.She retrieves the key and goes to unlock the front door. As normal, the loading screen shows the door opening, but before Helen can take a step outside, the screen suddenly switches to a quick zoom on Helen's face while a distorted creak/scream is heard.Although it is never stated, considering the later fate of Betty and Dorothy, Helen was presumably ambushed and taken by Dr. Sullivan waiting outside.Day 4At the very end, as Margaret escapes the Manor with the man in black, the final shot shows Helen, Betty, and Dorothy standing on the porch waving their friend goodbye. Seeing as how all three of them are certainly dead, this is either a hallucination or the spirits of the girls bidding Margaret farewell.}

betty, like Helen is a young caucasian girl in her mid to late teens with black hair in a bob cut.

{Day 1Betty can be talked to by Helen, gushing about how lucky she is to be chosen for chores and that she can't wait for her turn to go home. Like Dorothy, she has already taken her tablet.Day 2Betty wakes up in the servants' quarters and like with Helen before her, the intercom asks Helen to report to the dining hall for her next chore. Dorothy talks about the strange sounds she heard last night while Margaret tells Betty to question the intercom's orders and that unlike what the estate might say, the disappeared Helen was not returned to her family.On the table, Betty finds a note informing her that a package addressed to her was delivered this morning. Since the estate is not responsible for such matters, they still thought to notify her as "courtesy", recommending she fetch it before anything happened to it, reminding Betty that for all she knows, it could be from her mother.Betty exits the house through the still-unlocked front door and in spite of the heavy rainfall, she goes around back into a hedge maze where she finds the package. The rain stops shortly after, but as she tries to find her way back out, she gets lost inside the labyrinth when the layout changes. After much back and forth, Betty rounds a corner and runs straight into a towering disfigured humanoid, at which point a distorted scream is heard and the screen fades to white.Day 4At the very end, as Margaret escapes the Manor with the man in black, the final shot shows Helen, Betty, and Dorothy standing on the porch waving their friend goodbye. the man in black is a minor and supporting character, he is knowledgeable for his very mysterious appearance.

he appears to be a tall, white skin, adult man of unspecified age, he wore a black suit, black shoes, and drove a black car.

In Game:

After escaping from the underground base and killing Dr, Margaret is greeted by the man in black who asks her if she is ready to go. she says yes and gets in his car. The man in black somehow has knowledge of her parents houses, and takes her darely.

Dr Edward Sullivan: One of Puppet Combos Darkest antagonists.

Biographical Overview:

Aliases as a Doctor.

Pyshician, Scienitst, Combat Medic

Fought for: Royal British Army, Queen Marys Hospital, Unnamed cult. Aged 30-40, status as Deceased. Between 1922 and 1936. he is a Mutant, formerly a human.

Appearance: Paintings and a Paint Bust in his likeness hint at the pre-mutation appearance of Dr. Sullivan as an adult Caucasian man with short brown hair and a mustache.According to research notes that can be found in the underground lab, as a result of working near the pylons, the radiation mostly affected his physical appearance and behavior. Dr. Sullivan appears to have grown to monstrous proportions and his whole body is completely swollen and covered in blisters, with veins visible and some mass increased in his left leg. A long thick claw appears to have grown out of his right arm that he uses to kill. Dr. Sullivan also wore a mask that was worn by the plague doctors, hiding his distorted facial features as the note also described him.

Personality:

known as before, he is a PSTD driven violent mania known for lasting out and attacking other subjects. he walked slowly and groaned due to pain every time Margaret shot him with a rifle.

History: most of the history i have mentioned will not be mentioned to not Pad this entirely. but he used to work at Queen Marys hospital and worked in the british military, coming back to his lovely wife and a huge estate, but like other soldiers, he suffered the PSTD effect known as heat as i mentioned. later on he devolved his mansion into a laboratory for an experiment to summon his new God, aided by a cult of zealots also infected by the Heat and was hailed as a new prophet. Sullivan soon succumbed to the side effects of his ungodly science, and not long after he realized what he was doing was a huge mistake and started doing everything in his power to stop the machine he had created from activating

Dr. Sullivan could be heard each day over intercom, informing the servant girls to take their pills and follow the instructions.Day 1While wandering the manor, Helen hears a knock on the doors. She opens the doors and screams in horror. The game then abruptly cuts to the second day. Day 2Dr. Sullivan is first physically encountered on the second day. After acquiring the box at the front gate, Betty heads back through the maze and encounters a giant Dr. Sullivan. The screen slowly fades to white afterward. Day 3On the third day after navigating through the dark rooms of the manor, a chandelier suddenly falls on Dorothy, trapping her. Dr. Sullivan is then seen slowly approaching Dorothy. The screen fades to white as Dorothy's screams are heard.Day 4On the fourth day, after navigating through the underground base, Margaret enters a room and hides under the desk after she hears somebody coming. Dr. Sullivan enters the room and quickly leaves. As she passes through the chambers, she finds a tape player, revealing that all the announcements had been pre-recorded. Once Margaret enters a large experimental/electrical room, she is confronted by Dr. Sullivan, who jumps from above and attacks her, but she manages to defend herself with a rifle. After a long fight, Dr. Sullivan passes out from the wounds.After activating the machine which causes an explosion, Margaret fights her way through the hordes of undead and manages to get back to the manor. As everything seems to be finally over, the enraged Dr. Sullivan, who survived the explosion, suddenly bursts through the doors and charges at Margaret. This time, Margaret blows his head with a rifle, causing Dr. Sullivan to finally drop dead on the floor, his body burns to ashes afterward.

Dr mutated form used public zombie mutant model. he is very similar in looks from the Tyrant from Resident Evil 1996.

the final boss with him is very reminiscent of the final super tyrant fight from resident evil 2 1998.
