Hey Tap Tap family! I’m back with another side scrolling game, and this time, we’re slicing through enemies in Dead Cells—a game that getted the legendary title in the roguelike Metroidvania genre, and getting this title in this genre is not easy.

But With fast-paced combat, brutal difficulty, and endless replayability, this game goted this title.

Overview
Dead Cells is a roguelike action-platformer developed by Motion Twin. It was first released in 2018 and is now available on PC, consoles, and mobile, covered most of the platforms.

You play as a nameless, headless creature (called The Prisoner) trying to escape from a cursed, ever-changing island. The catch? Every time you die, you start over—but you get stronger each time, this like that Superman show, when Superman kill that dark Superman he comeback with more power, what that show name I don't remember tell me in comment section.

Dead Cells is a mix of Metroidvania exploration, Souls-like difficulty, and roguelike progression, making it one of the most addictive action games ever made.

Gameplay Mechanics
The combat in Dead Cells is fast, fluid, and unforgiving.

Key features
✅ Tons of weapons – Swords, bows, whips, grenades, magic—you name it.
✅ Dodging is everything – Rolling and jumping at the right time saves your life.
✅ Roguelike progression – Each run gives you new upgrades, but dying resets your progress.
✅ Procedurally generated maps – No two playthroughs feel the same.
✅ Boss fights – Insane, fast-paced battles that test your reflexes.

Every run feels unique, and with so many weapon combinations, you can play the game your way—whether that’s fast and aggressive or slow and strategic, in this game you can do what you want, don't think about that.

Controls
On PC and consoles, the controls are perfect—responsive and smooth.

On mobile? Well… it depends, for me work good but with controller you can do so many moves that touch controls don't allow or you can't perform them without any damage.
✅ Controller support – Highly recommended for the best experience.
✅ Touch controls – Work decently but can feel awkward in fast fights.
✅ Customizable buttons – You can adjust controls to fit your style.

If you’re playing on mobile, use a controller if possible—it makes the game 10x better, and one more thing I am using 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C wireless controller.

Graphics and Sound
Dead Cells has a beautiful pixel-art style that feels alive. Similar to game's like Blasphemous, Katana Zero and other similar titles. Every area has amazing lighting, fluid animations, and a dark fantasy vibe.

And the soundtrack? Absolute fire. The intense, atmospheric music pumps you up, especially during boss fights, you will enjoy the sound.

Story and Characters
The game doesn’t spoon-feed you a story. Instead, you discover the lore by exploring—reading notes, finding hidden areas, and piecing together the mystery.

The Prisoner’s past is unclear, but one thing is certain—you die, resurrect, and repeat in a never-ending cycle. The more you play, the more you understand about the island’s curse and the king behind it.

It’s minimalistic but effective, letting you focus on the action while slowly uncovering the game’s secrets.
I don't want to spoil your fun by telling you story but in the end you get a turn.

Pros and Cons
✅ Fast, satisfying combat
✅ Huge variety of weapons and abilities
✅ Endless replayability with roguelike elements
✅ Smooth movement and tight controls
✅ Beautiful pixel art and killer soundtrack

❎ Brutally difficult (not for casual players)
❎ Dying resets progress, which can be frustrating
