Hey Tap Tap family! Lately, I was started playing some new game's in survival open-world MMO genre. This games throws us into a post-apocalyptic nightmare filled with strange creatures, mutants, and cosmic horrors Like Rust, DayZ, or The Forest. If you played anyone of this games and like this genre you will going to love this game.
This Game brings something different to the table with its sci-fi horror elements and multiplayer world-building. Yes I am talking about Once Human.
Overview
Once Human is a multiplayer survival RPG developed by Starry Studio. It drops you into a corrupted world, where aliens and supernatural forces have reshaped everything. You play as a Meta-Human, one of the last survivors with the ability to resist the infection spreading across the land.
The gameplay is all about scavenging, crafting, base-building, and fighting off hostile creatures all while managing your survival needs like hunger, thirst, and exposure. But unlike other survival games, this one adds a dark sci-fi horror twist, making every encounter feel eerie and intense.
Like every other game just have post apocalyptic world filled with zombies this game have something else to offer, and that is this different kind of monsters that look so horrifying.
Gameplay Experience
From the moment I started, the world felt immersive yet terrifying, Survival mechanics are normal You need to find food, craft weapons, and build shelters while avoiding dangerous creatures, Open-world exploration give you some work to do a Huge map with diverse biomes, abandoned cities, and eerie locations.
The thing I most like is Co-op and PvP options You can team up with others or fight for resources in a dangerous world, because there no many games that can give you co-op with story missions in mobile.
Mutated enemies & bosses are horrifying I already told you this game have some of the best looking bosses, Some of Bosses (monsters) are so massive and grotesque, straight out of a horror movie.
One thing I really liked was how each area feels different, and the deeper you go, the more unpredictable and terrifying the enemies become, and I just played this game for some hour's so still I can't tell you everything yet but this game is Awesome.
Controls
Since I played on mobile, the controls were pretty smooth. With touch screen and controller both but one of friend played this in PC and told me controls are good. Gunplay feels tight and responsive Headshots actually matter here 🤣.
Crafting and inventory management are easy to navigate not heard like this new games.
Base-building system is well-designed, letting you be creative with defenses, but one problem I was never good in making bases in games.
If you’re used to play survival games, you’ll feel at home, but there’s still a learning curve with some of the mutation-based abilities your character gets, some things that you learn in in game.
Graphics and Sound
The visuals in Once Human are insane for a survival MMO, Dark, eerie environments Every location feels haunted and unsettling.
Enemy designs are nightmarish Mutants and bosses look like something out of Lovecraftian horror, Sound design is on point The ambient noises and creature sounds make the world feel alive and deadly.
If you play with headphones at night, expect chills—the game nails the horror atmosphere, the same experience we got in first dead space game remember that.
Story and Characters
Unlike many survival games that ignore storytelling, Once Human actually has a mystery-driven narrative, and I played this for some hours so don't know about it 😅 everything I know is You uncover the world’s secrets as you progress, Lore is hidden in notes, NPCs, and environmental storytelling. Your choices impact interactions with factions and enemies.
The game lets you dig deeper into its lore, but if you just want to focus on crafting and surviving, you can ignore it like me 😅.
