You Guys Remember Dead Trigger 2?
The game that turned your phone into a zombie-slaying paradise.
Insane graphics, smooth gameplay, endless waves of the undead — and all that... for free.
So the big question is…
Why don’t we get games like that anymore?
Dead Trigger 2 launched way back in 2013 — a full decade ago — and it still holds up.
It was one of the few mobile FPS games that didn’t feel like a mobile game.
Big maps, boss fights, weapon upgrades, global missions... it was everything.
So what happened?
The Evolution of Mobile Gaming.
The mobile gaming scene changed, and not for the better.
Back then, games were made with love.
Now? Most are built with one thing in mind — microtransactions.
Developers realized they could make more money by designing short, addictive loops.
Energy systems, pay-to-win models, battle passes.
Why spend years making a big offline shooter…
When you can make a gacha game and earn millions with less risk?
Also, let’s not forget — in the early 2010s, mobile hardware was just catching up.
Dead Trigger 2 pushed boundaries.
Now, phones are beasts, but games are… kinda boring.
Why?
Because most studios play it safe.
Instead of full campaigns or deep FPS experiences, they chase trends:
Clones of PUBG, Clash Royale, Candy Crush…
And What Happened to Madfinger Games?
The studio behind Dead Trigger 2 — Madfinger Games — moved on too.
They released Unkilled, another zombie shooter. Then Shadowgun Legends, a looter-shooter masterpiece.
But none of them hit the same cultural impact as Dead Trigger 2.
Maybe it was timing.
Maybe it was the community.
Maybe it was just... lightning in a bottle.
But we can Hope for a better Future.

But here’s the thing:
Players like you and me? We haven’t gone anywhere.
We still want real games. Real stories. Real action.
And maybe… just maybe…
One day, a studio will look back at Dead Trigger 2 and say —
“Let’s do that again.”
Until then,
Keep your aim sharp, your ammo stocked…
And your hope alive.
