Destiny Saga is a rouge like RPG that eliminates many p2w features we have seen in other similar games. The game is mostly solo story driven with no heavy PVP combat. The tavern is your main spot where you will be interacting with NPCs that give you quests to complete. You will then travel to different worlds/levels that have dungeon like layouts. The mini map shows off how the area works with each square representing a room. Most of the paths are pretty linear but occasionally there will be a different way to go that can lead you to hidden treasure. 

Destiny Saga is a mash-up of retro-style goodness, JRPG art style, ARPG gameplay, and modern gacha and RPG elements. Players can collect heroes, upgrade and equip them with gear, and engage in ARPG combat, all while being driven by a compelling narrative story. The gameplay follows a 2.5D style of format, in which the character is able to move in all four cardinal directions, however attacks can only be performed sideways or horizontally, which is still highly reminiscent of side-scrolling game style of combat. The only chance you can do damage vertically, is by use of skills. It’s worth noting though, that some enemies, especially bosses, can attack vertically.

The first few minutes of the game, I really got the hang of it, and I got too caught up playing it because the storyline really has a vibe from Final Fantasy, and I have always been a fan of it. It has all sorts of characters to choose from to give variety to players who would want different classes of heroes. Definitely, something I would want to see through to the end.

MY OVERALL SCORE 7/10 Game features: Rich Roguelike elements: Each dungeon exploration is a new experience. The dungeon has rich Roguelike elements, equipment, materials, and gold coins, which can all be found in the dungeon. Carefully crafted action system: The game provides an exciting action game experience, with hardcore impact and feedback that can make you feel passionate. The unique combo system also makes the game's combat strategy more advanced.

This game deserved all the hype and fanfare that many recent games have enjoyed, but somehow it slipped in under the radar.  The sprite art and the combat are gloriously retro.  Everything feels right during gameplay.  It has a story that might be good if it wasn't so poorly translated into English, and that is my only gripe.  Play this game.
