I’m not a total fan of soccer or football, whichever way you’d like to call it, but EA SPORTS Tactical Football has convinced me to give the sport a chance. Well, maybe not the actual sport itself but games about football like these. Tactical Football is a turn-based tactical soccer game with gacha elements and RPG-like gameplay where you build a team, upgrade them, and send them into matches. It's also currently in early access in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia.

Gameplay, story line, controls etc. everything is good. The only problem is it keeps crashing, you can't even complete a full game without experiencing lag. This could be the best online NBA 2K game so far, but with the experience I had with the lag and stuff, you can't say that this is worth recommending to all NBA game fanatics out there. It will only drain your battery for nothing, you may enjoy a bit but more of dissapointment in return. To the developer, hope this will get fixed as soon as possible, good ratings might change as we move forward.

SHOULD I PLAY NBA INFINITE? If you’ve played all the other mobile basketball offerings—games including NBA 2K24 MyTeam, NBA Live Mobile, and NBA 2K Mobile—then NBA Infinite is definitely worth giving a try despite the very competitive mobile basketball market. Like with MyTeam, I had a blast building up my fantasy lineup, upgrading player skills, and enjoying NBA Infinite’s fast-paced gameplay loop. And though I wouldn’t say that this game breaks the mold, it was still fun and easy to pick up on the go.

Captain Tsubasa: Ace is an enjoyable and thrilling soccer game that reminds me of FIFA and EA SPORTS Tactical Football. It doesn’t introduce anything unique or refreshing outside of its anime-inspired visuals and characters, but it still packs a lot of action to be enjoyed. Give this one a go if you’re into basketball or basketball games—especially if you loved the MyTEAM game modes in any of the NBA 2K titles—but be warned that it has some major pay-to-win issues if you’re planning to play multiplayer. Playing NBA 2K24 MyTeam on the go gave me all the highs and lows I felt when playing MyTeam on console. If you’re not, though, Football Manager 2024 is a terrific place to jump in. While many of the changes over last year’s edition are small and iterative, together they make this the slickest, easiest to play, and most fully featured soccer management sim ever made.

I'm far from the biggest sports fan, but if there's one game I've always enjoyed watching (and playing) above any others, it's basketball. So combining my appreciation for that sport with my weakness for gacha games? Well, that's awfully scary. NBA Infinite is just such a combination, and it comes from the gacha experts at Level Infinite, the studio behind other addictive—some might say manipulative!—mobile games like Tower of Fantasy and Undawn. And while it's not a perfect game, even in its early closed beta form, I can already see how it could pull players like me in to the gacha stuff hard.

I loved the Blue Lock anime, so Blue Lock BLAZE BATTLE, brought back great memories. This game is actually a football game and closer to what I had expected for a Blue Lock game. SHOULD I PLAY RACING MASTER? Racing Master looks gorgeous, but you can safely skip this one unless you’re desperate for another collection of reward tracks and upgrade meters to fill up. There is technically a racing game in Racing Master, but it’s buried in the typical avalanche of mobile monetization mechanics. The balance between actual gameplay and progression-related busywork is way, way off here, to the point that I felt I was hardly doing much racing at all.

Omega Strikers is in the arena and I’m ready to score some goals. If you’ve played Brawl Stars before, you might enjoy playing Omega Strikers.
