I loved the Blue Lock anime, so Blue Lock BLAZE BATTLE, brought back great memories. This game is actually a football game and closer to what I had expected for a Blue Lock game. I'm far from the biggest sports fan, but if there's one game I've always enjoyed watching (and playing) above any others, it's basketball. So combining my appreciation for that sport with my weakness for gacha games? Well, that's awfully scary. NBA Infinite is just such a combination, and it comes from the gacha experts at Level Infinite, the studio behind other addictive—some might say manipulative!—mobile games like Tower of Fantasy and Undawn. And while it's not a perfect game, even in its early closed beta form, I can already see how it could pull players like me in to the gacha stuff hard.

SHOULD I PLAY NBA INFINITE? If you’ve played all the other mobile basketball offerings—games including NBA 2K24 MyTeam, NBA Live Mobile, and NBA 2K Mobile—then NBA Infinite is definitely worth giving a try despite the very competitive mobile basketball market. Like with MyTeam, I had a blast building up my fantasy lineup, upgrading player skills, and enjoying NBA Infinite’s fast-paced gameplay loop. And though I wouldn’t say that this game breaks the mold, it was still fun and easy to pick up on the go.

Gameplay, story line, controls etc. everything is good. The only problem is it keeps crashing, you can't even complete a full game without experiencing lag. This could be the best online NBA 2K game so far, but with the experience I had with the lag and stuff, you can't say that this is worth recommending to all NBA game fanatics out there. It will only drain your battery for nothing, you may enjoy a bit but more of dissapointment in return. To the developer, hope this will get fixed as soon as possible, good ratings might change as we move forward.

It is not wrong to say that this game is a MASSIVE step-up for EA SPORTS from their last football game (FIFA 23). Difficulty has been amped due to how the overall feel of the gameplay has changed - goalkeepers feel like an actual threat to the attacking teams, and using methods like cross-spamming and lobbing aren't as exploitative and annoying as before. Soundtrack choices are stellar as usual, with more underrated picks being considered that have also consistently made my Spotify weekly recommendations playlist. So, there's that. Oh, and the game is very generous too, giving out gems and players literally every two or three days.

Although the online competitive 5v5 player versus player experience is exceptional, the inability to score, which I found exasperating, detracts from its overall quality. Conversely, the single player automated campaign is simply dreadful.
