SHOULD I PLAY EA SPORTS FC 24? If you’re a fan of soccer (or football, depending on your region), this is probably the release you’ve been waiting for. To be clear, I am in no way a hardcore fan of the sport outside of watching the occasional match and rooting for my favorite team, Arsenal F.C., but even I had a blast playing EA Sports FC 24! EA’s first non-FIFA-branded soccer game is packed full of small details and hyper-realistic visuals that make it feel more like watching a live broadcast than playing a game.

SHOULD I PLAY NBA INFINITE? If you’ve played all the other mobile basketball offerings—games including NBA 2K24 MyTeam, NBA Live Mobile, and NBA 2K Mobile—then NBA Infinite is definitely worth giving a try despite the very competitive mobile basketball market. Like with MyTeam, I had a blast building up my fantasy lineup, upgrading player skills, and enjoying NBA Infinite’s fast-paced gameplay loop. And though I wouldn’t say that this game breaks the mold, it was still fun and easy to pick up on the go.

SHOULD I PLAY NBA 2K24 MYTEAM? Give this one a go if you’re into basketball or basketball games—especially if you loved the MyTEAM game modes in any of the NBA 2K titles—but be warned that it has some major pay-to-win issues if you’re planning to play multiplayer. Playing NBA 2K24 MyTeam on the go gave me all the highs and lows I felt when playing MyTeam on console. I loved the Blue Lock anime, so Blue Lock BLAZE BATTLE, brought back great memories. This game is actually a football game and closer to what I had expected for a Blue Lock game. While I possess a preference for anime-styled adaptations, it is primarily due to their ability to get my attention, as exemplified by shows such as BlueLock and MegaloBox. Although the online competitive 5v5 player versus player experience is exceptional, the inability to score, which I found exasperating, detracts from its overall quality. Conversely, the single player automated campaign is simply dreadful.

PLAY IT OR SKIP IT? Play it if you’re looking for a more arcade-y, less serious wrestling game alternative to the WWE 2K series (or if you just prefer the AEW product, of course). According to fellow TapTap editor StaggerLee, WWE 2K23 is actually pretty dang solid, but I think it’s about time they’ve had real competition. AEW: Fight Forever is the first console game tied to the popular wrestling brand that has managed to actually give WWE a run for its money. The game follows suit, with some silly wrestling fun, though it also has a handful of pretty goofy problems.

I'm far from the biggest sports fan, but if there's one game I've always enjoyed watching (and playing) above any others, it's basketball. So combining my appreciation for that sport with my weakness for gacha games? Well, that's awfully scary. NBA Infinite is just such a combination, and it comes from the gacha experts at Level Infinite, the studio behind other addictive—some might say manipulative!—mobile games like Tower of Fantasy and Undawn. And while it's not a perfect game, even in its early closed beta form, I can already see how it could pull players like me in to the gacha stuff hard.

Gameplay, story line, controls etc. everything is good. The only problem is it keeps crashing, you can't even complete a full game without experiencing lag. This could be the best online NBA 2K game so far, but with the experience I had with the lag and stuff, you can't say that this is worth recommending to all NBA game fanatics out there. It will only drain your battery for nothing, you may enjoy a bit but more of dissapointment in return. To the developer, hope this will get fixed as soon as possible, good ratings might change as we move forward.

Coming to this game without any prior experience with the MLB 9 Innings, I was initially put off by the busy and unintuitive front-end interface in Rivals. There’s a lot going on, between daily and weekly rewards, events, game modes, training, and scouting. Most of this I’ve found it safe to ignore, at least as a beginning player, and MLB 9 Innings Rivals has been fun to pick up for some quick Major League action on the go.
