This year has been full of new experiences for me. I’ve always been more into competitive multiplayer games, so getting to play a lot of unique and unusual single-player titles has really changed my perspective and made me want to try out a ton more games. If you’d asked me at the start of 2023, I never would have guessed that I’d play some of these games I’m about to talk about, let alone rate them as the best of the year. I’m grateful to have experienced the spectacle offered by these excellent titles. Here are the ten best games I played in 2023.

This week’s reveal of a new trailer for Persona 5: The Phantom X got us excited all over again for the upcoming mobile spin-off of our favorite RPG with social sim elements. And that made us want to play even more games like that!
