Dragon and Home is a charming sandbox MMORPG that merges aspects of Roblox and Minecraft together in this fantastical world. If you like either of these aforementioned games or a simple adventure, Dragon and Home is definitely worth trying.
The game is set in a fantasy world filled with monsters, magic, and lush greenery. I played as an adventurer (that I got to customize before playing the game) in this world. The world is quite large and features eleven different locations to explore, but I’ve only managed to visit the Port Station and Hunter Hut. There’s also a bunch of quests to complete and a story to follow. Although I haven’t gotten too deep into this story, I’m already hooked. From what I’ve experienced, the story feels really well-written and carries a lot of banter and humor. Most of the storyline is enhanced by really good voice acting which complements the cutscenes really well too. Even though I’ve only met a few characters in Dragon and Home, the storyline and voice acting has made them feel memorable.
Beyond Dragon and Home’s narrative, the rest of the adventure lies in exploration, excavation, and questing. I’m not going to lie, I might’ve spent fifty percent of the time I was playing exploring most of the map, and collecting resources. From entering caves to climbing trees and attempting to battle foxes, Dragon and Home had me captivated by its gameplay.
I really enjoyed questing too, which helped me understand the game more and its mechanics. I could follow the main quest or accept side quests to level up. Some quests even required me to be at certain levels, but thanks to these side quests, leveling wasn’t too difficult. In the one hour that I’ve been playing, I’ve already managed to reach level four and have enjoyed relishing the game.
The only minor issue that Dragon and Home faces is its visuals. The visuals feel unpolished and the colors feel a little too vibrant. The environment looks a little rough too. That said, the game doesn’t look horrid at all, it just needs a little more work. But being that Dragon and Home is currently in open beta in North America, these issues will probably be fixed on release. For now, if you’re looking for an adventure or something like Roblox or Minecraft to pass the time, then Dragon and Home is a game worth considering.
