A player shares his experience how to pass first 5 stages of the 3rd anniversary mini-event Defensive Frontline with us. Thank you for his time and sharing!

I found there are many players ask the guide for the new Defensive Frontline after each day unlock, so here is my way how to pass them. If you have other good sets, please let me know. :)

Before starting, I’d advise you tap the “i” button of each stage to get the pros and cons of the enemies. And you could tap the enemy to change the attack target, it’s very important.

Stage 1:

It’s the teach part and not very difficult, just notice do not select ‘'Lightning Arrow” because the Boss Lightning who will recover HP when he got lightning damage. I used the set ‘Split Arrow, Fire Attack , Fire Projectile, Evil Magic’ to pass this stage. Ensure to get two of three ‘Split Arrow, Fire Attack, Fire Projectile’ in the first two skill balls. If not, just restart it.

Stage 2:

The order of enemies in this stage is very condense and quick, so we need to use range attack to handle it. I accommodate this set ‘Split Arrow, Poison Rain, Lightning Arrow, Ice Attack’, Split Arrow and Poison Rain are in prior, and Ice Attack is the last skill. Ice Attack slows the enemy’s speed to make them receive more damage from Poison Rain.

Stage 3:

There are two bosses in this stage, Lightning and Immortal Bird. The Lightning will recover HP from lightning damage and Immortal Bird immunes to both fire and lightning damage. It seems like impossible to pass with fire or lightning attack. On the contrary, Fire Attack and Lightning Arrow are the key to pass this stage because they’re sub-damage and the main damage is still physical. It means you could still cause damage on Immortal Bird after selecting Fire Attack and Lightning Arrow. For the boss Lightning, you also could damage him because you have Fire Attack. So my set for this stage is ‘Fire Attack, Lightning Arrow, Adrenaline and Split Arrow’.

Stage 4:

This stage has many varieties of enemy and I have several strategies:

Set 1: Split Arrow, Fire Attack, Adrenaline, Evil Magic

Set 2: Split Arrow, Lightning Arrow, Adrenaline, Evil Magic

Set 3: Split Arrow, Poison Rain, Lightning Arrow, Adrenaline

You’ll find each recommendation has Split Arrow. Yes, it’s the core skill for this stage. Ensure the first skill you got is Split Arrow.

Stage 5:

I also have three recommendation sets:

Set 1: Split Arrow, Fire Attack, Lightning Arrow, Adrenaline

Set 2: Fire Projectile, Fire Attack, Dopamine, Split Arrow

Set 3: Lightning Arrow, Poison Rain, Ice Attack, Split Arrow

Since there are two Enigma who plummets your attack speed, we tend to select the skills that has special effect, not count on normal attack. And the pass rate of these three sets is not 100%, you may need to try more times.

I have no idea it’s a bug or a design that if you click three Claim options at the same on skill selection page of the first skill ball, you’ll got three skills in one selection. I hope my experience could help you to pass this event! Thank you for your reading!
