Genuinely the best gaccha game when it comes to 2D visual novel style story-telling.
📖 Storyline: As the name of the game suggests (reverse 1999), the world is unable to move forward in time to the 2000s. The "storm" takes away those that are deemed un-worthy while distorting the very space and time.
🌌 World Building: In the initial 2 chapters, the game explores the effects of the storm and introduces the "main villains" called "Manus Vindictae".
From here on, the focus shifts onto Vertin (the main character), her past and the organisation she works for called the foundation. It's this later half of the story that really sold me on it as it introduces more personal stakes to the story and give proper character development for Vertin and other important side characters.
🎬 Presentation: When it comes to story-telling, the game is fully EN voice acted (in addition to other languages). The EN VA in this game is legit phenomenal. The VAs nail the accent and mannerisms of speech their characters portray. It's just perfect!
Like I mentioned before, it's a 2D visual novel style story but unlike other games, reverse 1999 have L2D that are pretty expressive in-addition to cutscenes thats are seem-lessly incorporated between the story and gameplay segments.
🎮 Gameplay: As someone who isn't a fan of turn based games typically, the card based combat system in this game is very casual & newbie friendly but also fun to play. Much of it is owing to the amazing skill effects and visuals. I do recommend the gameplay If your main goal is to experience a good story with some level of strategic difficulty.
💖 Overall Experience: Highly recommend the game if your looking for a good story with the best presentation possible for a 2D visual novel style story.
Speaking of the gaccha, they provide lots of freebie gaccha currencies to the point I have been able to get 3, six star characters that had been featured on different banners within the first month of playtime. I did dodge pity twice and win the 50/50 so your results may vary.

9/10 times it's a great game but there's always that 1 that doesn't like it.
So I was part of the CBT and back then I played up to chapter 3 which was about as much available back in the CBT. Now the big money question is is it worth playing Reverse 1999. 9/10 times yes it is but there's that one person it just won't be right for and without further ado let's dive in.
📖 Storyline:
The story can be plenty of dark with themes of extortion, child abuse and even death. But and a big but some of the dialogue is wonky asf especially if you're reading the Japanese translation.

This game steals my heart! Can't Wait for More of 'Reverse: 1999'!
If you, like me, are drawn in by the game's promotional trailer, believe me, this game is definitely worth your attention. I've spent nearly 10 hours on this game now, and I can assure you there are no glitches or lag in the main narrative. You can even play using the lower-starred characters, although I got lucky and drew Lilya (which was exciting!) The superb art style really is the game's showcase, a major factor that lures most players to start the game in the first place. I'll skip further praises as it speaks for itself.

Ive played Reverse 1999 for almost two months now and this game doesn't stop making me impressed.
👍 Pros: Beautiful graphics amazing unique gameplay overall F2P purchases are optional and mostly aesthetic. Great gacha system. In fact I'm F2P myself and have no problems completing events. Engaging story
👎 Cons: There really isn't any.
Areas that can improve more non event Gameplay, As well as Developers should add co-operative modes and story.
