Intro

Illo! It's been a while, hasn't it?
I've been so busy playing games lately, it's actually refreshing!
Last year, I bought so many big AAA games but most of them really sucked. I'd say a good 70% of the games I bought were really horrible, another 20% was either me who sucked at those games or the games were 50/50. In other words, those games had an equal amount of good and bad things in them. As for the remaining 10%, they were really fun at the beginning but after playing for several hours, the lack of certain features just made me give up on those games.
I had such a hard time finding a game that I could fully enjoy right from the start all the way to the end...
I even thought at some point that it might be better to just... give up on video games and do something else.
But hey! I'm so glad I didn't do that! So far, in 2024, there's been 3 games that I bought and enjoyed from start to finish! Those 3 games are Palworld, Persona 3 Reload and Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
Let's start with the 1st game I bought this year!

Palworld

If you mix a massive open world RPG, a survival game and a monster taming game together and add a bunch of customization options as the secret spice, you get an awesome game called Palworld!
There are sooooo many things to do in this game, it's crazy! I'm not gonna talk about everything, but here's just a few things you can do:
-You can explore a massive world alone or with friends! During your exploration, you will stumble upon neat treasure chests, mysterious dungeons, strange towers and much more!
-You can build a base (you can make a maximum of 3 bases) and build houses in it. You can also build many kinds of crafting tables, add decorations, etc.
-You can catch monsters called "Pals" and decide their fate. Wanna fight bigger, tougher opponents with your pals? You can! Wanna turn your pals into slaves and force them to work for you until they turn insane? You can! You can even butcher your pals and eat them yourself or feed them to your other pals if you want. 😈
...Huh? Did someone just say "Sorry, but I don't encourage animal cruelty"?
Dah Fu- *ahem* What exactly are you talking about!? I clearly said that Pals were monsters, didn't I? F'n MONSTERS that could easily decimate the human race in a heartbeat if they wanted! Lemme guess... This must be your first RPG, am I right? Well, lemme tell you something, friend! Killing monsters is something that you can't avoid in a RPG. Collecting and/or eating their remains (A.K.A. their drops) is also something you'll often do in RPGs. If you can't get used to it, then I'm sorry to say this, but it may be a good idea for you to go look for another game to play. One that isn't a RPG.
...Phew! Sorry for losing my temper there. I'm just sick and tired of seeing people complain about "animal cruelty" in a game that doesn't even have animals. Last time I checked, my roommate's cat couldn't use elemental attacks and my neighbor's dog can only bark. They can't cause earthquakes or summon meteors. Creatures who can do such things are called MONSTERS, like the ones we see in movies and VIDEO GAMES.
Anyway! Back to what I was saying earlier. I love this game so much that I played a good 201 hours so far. I bought Palworld on day 1 and a week later, I was still discovering things. I think it took me something like 3 whole weeks to discover and do everything that's currently in the game + another 6 days that I used to hatch eggs non-stop.

My Goals, My Motivation

A few days after I started playing, I made myself a short list of goals:

Goal 01
:
Reach Level 50 with my main character A.S.A.P and unlock a bunch of technologies

Goal 02
:
Craft the best gear

Goal 03
:
Explore the whole world map

Goal 04
:
Catch all 138 pals

Goal 05
:
Catch all 138 pals at least 10 times

Goal 06
:
Decide on a team of Pals

Goal 07
:
Make that team as strong as possible via breeding

Goal 08
:
After breeding, collect enough Pal souls to strengthen my whole team

Goal 09
:
Catch 116 of each Pal on my team and fuse them together to make everyone even stronger

Goal 10
:
While working on goal 03~09, collect as many rare items as possible

Goal 11
:
While you're at it, collect an insane amount of crafting materials too

Goal 12
:
Build a HUGE tower and turn it into a maze for other players to conquer

Goal 13
:
Craft an insane amount of chests and carefully hide those chests a bit everywhere in the tower

Goal 14
:
Put random stuff in those chests, both common and rare loot, as well as gold

Goal 15
:
Add passwords to the tower's doors and chests and hide hints on how to open them in the tower

Goal 16
:
Craft all kinds of traps and put them on the floors of the tower

Goal 17
:
Become the gatekeeper of the tower and yell "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!" in the chat each time a player comes near the tower.

Final Goal
:
Challenge each and every player who wish to enter my tower to a pvp match. Those who emerge victorious are granted access to the tower.
In the 4 weeks I played, I was able to achieve goal 1 through 11 (Goal 7 is partially done). For the last 7 goals, I'm gonna wait until the game is fully out before I start working on them, because I'm still not 100% sure if some of those goals are possible or if they'll work the way I want them to. If they are possible, I'll make sure to create an a-maze-ing tower and of course, I'll let you all know in case you like this idea of mine! πŸ˜πŸ‘
I could keep writing about this game for days, but I still have 2 other games to talk about, so next, let's talk about...
Wait! Wait! Wait! One last thing! Please lemme show you my pride and joy! Here's my favorite pal, Lyleen Noct:
TapTap
Remember when I said I spent another 6 days to hatch eggs non-stop? Well, I used those 6 days to make the Lyleen Noct you see above. SIX! WHOLE! F'N! DAYS! She has perfect IVs and those 4 passive abilities on her boosts her damage like crazy!! I had to hatch several thousands of eggs and because of that, the square button on my controller isn't responding properly anymore... 😭
I really hope the devs will do something about that button holding πŸ’©! That's pretty much the only thing that really bothered me in this game. Hold square to craft, hold square to hatch eggs, hold square for this, hold square for that.... Ugh! ...Anyway!
As a final touch, I used a mod to give her the alpha status since there's currently no other way to do that. A huge, elegant and beautiful pal with perfect stats and passive abilities. Oh and if you do the "Pat Lyleen Noct" command, you won't actually pat her head, no! She'll give you double high five instead. That's just... too adorable!! 😍😍
That's all for Palworld! For real this time! πŸ˜†

Persona 3 Reload

2 days after I finally got my perfect Lyleen Noct in Palworld, this game came out.
I pre-ordered Persona 3 Reload at the end of last year, so when the game came out earlier this month, all I had to do is download and play it. I used to play the "Portable" version of this game on my PSP when it was still functional, but that was such a long time ago that I forgot pretty much everything about the game except for some characters. What I'm trying to say here is that P3R felt like a whole new game.

My First Playthrough

When I first got access to the Tartarus Tower, the first thing I did was explore each floor thoroughly and when I reached the last floor I had access to at the time, I raised the level of my characters and Personas like crazy!
When I wasn't bashing enemies left and right in the tower, I followed a guide I found on the internet to max out all social and character links during my first playthrough because, I'll be honest with you all, if there's one thing I can't stand in Persona games, it's those annoying social links. If you don't do it right, you won't be able to keep increasing certain links and because of that, you'll have to start aaaaaalll over in your next playthrough. I wouldn't complain if those social links had nothing locked behind them, but alas, that's not the case. Raising a social link to level 10 will give you a key item that unlocks a Persona and you need to do all F'n 20 social links, IN ONE PLAYTHROUGH, to unlock the last Persona. I don't mind missables, since I can always get them in my next playthrough, but hiding one very important item behind a ton of timed events is just... pure evil. Whoever thought of implementing something like that in a game is one sadistic b*stard! Sigh...
TapTap
It was the first time I used a guide to do something in an RPG (I usually prefer discovering stuff by myself) but I'm NEVER doing that again, trust me! Following the guide to the letter was soooooo exhausting! 😭
Anyway! Once I cleared my first playthrough, that's when the fun REALLY began! 🀀🀀🀀

My Second Playthrough

I started my second playthrough and once again, I pulverized the shadows in the tower for hours and hours on end! After a while, I had amassed several hundreds of dollars and a bunch of different Personas. I went in the velvet room and I started acting like a mad scientist, laughing out loud while fusing a bunch of demons together! After another hour or 2, I finally had the Persona I wanted with the skills I wanted!
I then went back in the tower, and with the gang, I stayed on floor 100 for one minute, then two, then three... And not long after that, FINALLY! Fuuka warned me that a "strong presence" was approaching! ...It was the Reaper! ✦.✦
In my head, I said "C'mere if you dare, ya F'n bast*rd! Imma kick yer a*s!"
Aaaaand... That's what happened! It took me forever, but I came out victorious! When I reached the result screen and saw my characters level up, I was like "Daaaaaaaamn!! O_O"
The level of my whole team went from 60-something to 95~98 and my main character was able to reach level max thanks to that EXP+ accessory I bought in my previous playthrough. Of course, my Persona had also reached level 99!

Now there was only 2 things left to do!
1. Raise the stats of my Persona to the max with incenses and...
2. Fight that "Ultimate opponent" that I wasn't even able to put a scratch on during my first playthrough!
Minutes later, after raising the stats of mah favorite Persona to the max, I went back, once again, in that evil tower to fight that overpowered woman! I had to try... I dunno how many times... but after a while, I was somehow able to beat her! Yaaay for me!
After that, I equipped the omnipotent orb I received as a reward aaaaaaaaand....
This is the result:
TapTap
The Maeigaon spell is there only to fight bosses (and NOT superbosses, A.K.A. that "ultimate opponent" I mentioned earlier) because fights are waaaaaay too easy if I use Morning Star and her Shinde Kureru? spell is an AOE spell in this game, so I use it to dispatch weaklings.
So yeah! Long story short, my first playthrough was kinda boring but damn I had a blast during my second playthrough!

Granblue Fantasy: Relink

Relink is a really good game, but damn I suck at playing that game! πŸ˜†
At least it's not like Fate/Samurai Remnant, which has an overwhelming amount of controls to remember! Having lots of spells, skills and ways to attack is a good thing, but for me, after I went through all those tutorials, I was like
TapTap
and I closed the game. 🀣
But enough about my experience with Fate/Samurai Remnant!
In Relink, it took me a whole week just to clear the story mode and a few more days to clear chapter Ø with the help of my roommate.
Thanks to his help, I was able to unlock my favorite character, Id, as well as his 6th weapon, and now I'm currently farming vouchers to get good sigils from the Knickknack Shop. Little by little, I increase the difficulty of the quests I do by myself and I try to get used to the game while I'm at it. If, and this is a big IF, someday I'm good enough to play with others, I would love to play with you all! 😁
Aaaand... That's about it I guess. I don't have much to say about Relink for the time being, but once I do, I'll make another post, so look forward to it, alright? A big thank you to all of you who read this far!

Glad to hear it! Yeah, I just LOVE the game! It has a few bugs here and there, like any early access title, but nothing game breaking. If you do decide to buy the game and you wanna play with someone, feel free to lemme know! I'll gladly play with you and help you out if you need it. 😁 I havent tried the multiplayer feature yet, but I heard that players can cooperate to do dungeons, fight bosses and stuff. We can even share the things we craft! Thanks to you and your positive message, Im starting my day in a really good mood, so whatever you choose to do, I wish you an awesome day too! πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»

I don't know why you blocked me on my main account, but for whatever reason you did it for, I'm sorry. I was too excited because I had another friend here which I didn't have in a while so maybe I was being extra with my opinions and stuff. I'm really sorry for whatever I did, and if you tell me then I won't do it again. So can you unblock me and we give this another try? what do you think?

Getting lost in a great story: our favorite adventure and RPG games of 2022
As gamers, there’s nothing we love more than taking part in a moving narrative... Except maybe seeing numbers go up. Adventure games and roleplaying games both focus on storytelling, whether the systems include pointing and clicking, grinding for levels, taking on fearsome bosses, or sneaking through cover to avoid combat. Here are our five favorite adventure and RPG games of 2022. Number 5: Harvestella

The game is fun! There are still some things missing, such as: Me when I see a new Indie game, I'm extremely happy and looking forward to it. Because most of the time, they will have something that games from big companies don't currently have. Quality content. And when I say that, I mean the soundtrack, a story for each step and strategy, in addition to well-crafted characters, scenarios and so on...

Top 7 nice games
Genshin Impact It has already been a year since I started playing this game, and it's super fun and relaxing (besides Spiral Abyss). At the beginning, I thought there was a lot of content to cover, and you'll never get bored if you take the game slowly. I say give it a try – amazing graphics, amazing storylines, amazing characters! Persona 5 I'll change my rating as I play through the game, but as of now: - Graphics: Pretty good - Music: Makes it great, typical Persona mix - Gameplay: Turn-based combat, lots of talking; it's what you'd expect from a Persona game but on mobile. So far, it feels like a Persona 5 self-insert fanfic, especially the opening cutscene. It's probably the language barrier that's making the tone sound cringe because I'm just using a translator to get through. I'll stick around though because I've been looking forward to this.
