Black Desert Mobile in 2024

The pinnacle of Korean and Chinese MMORPGs...the autoplay. As such, this game contains it too, which is nothing new. But despite that crappy feature, is the game still any good in 2024?

Back when I played this first in 2020, it was like discovering a whole new world. The game was pretty fun and classes were quite diverse and satisfying to play with, for me, especially Dark Knight. After some time tho, I quit for reasons I can't remember, but I did get my hands on Black Desert Online on Steam last year and played it for a little. It definitely has more quality to it than Mobile, but it suffers from the same mediocrity and forced autoplay. Now, onto the mobile, is it still good after 4 years?

Well, the game has all but made me felt like it did 4 years ago. First, amount of popups you get, unnecessary UI buttons obstructing your view, autoplay activating itself, forced relying on the autoplay, story is somewhat mediocre, but still kinda good, if it makes sense. The graphics aren't half bad, quite good honestly, although they could have some better textures. You can see various NPCs roaming or just chilling which gives a little life to the world, then we have the vast map, and damn, the world of BD is so big. But why such vastness when you can't even properly explore? Then we have the quests that are highly repetitive and boring. Until you get to a certain region's boss you get bored from a game. Then we have an open market for players, which is unusable because of highly inflated prices. PvP is unfair, therefore boring. Foraging and Mining serve no other purpose other than for Camp, which sucks. And I don't know what should I say more honestly. And I didn't even get started on microtransactions...

The game is not worth playing in 2024. Get a budget PC or Laptop and play World of Warcraft on Warmane.
