I'm So Excited for an Excuse to Get into Cyberpunk 2077 Again

Listen, there's no getting around it: When Cyberpunk 2077 launched back in late 2020, it was a mess. After nearly a decade of overwhelming hype, this sci-fi epic from the creators of The Witcher had little chance of living up to everyone's overblown hopes. But even as someone who went in with more measured expectations—and who played on PC, which was definitely the most stable platform to play it on at launch—it was still a rough experience at times.

Two years post-launch, Cyberpunk 2077 finally feels like the game it was supposed to be

For better or for worse, we’re never going to forget about Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red’s overambitious RPG promised far more than it could deliver when it launched in late 2020, and it has become more than a mere game. It’s a symbol of games industry hubris, of marketing campaigns that break free from the boring chains of reality, and of the chaos caused by years of feature-creep. The term “Cyberpunk” now is a benchmark for badness in the popular consciousness, a mental nadir other botched launches can approach but never quite reach.

Cyberpunk 2077 is game of the year worthy.

(UPDATED) Heres a spoiler free reveiw of cyberpunk. I've already finished the game 5 times before the 2.0 update. The game was already fixed before the patch. But 2.0 and the dlc is a whole other level... I Have officially finished the cyberpunk dlc and the new endings for the original game... I cant Express how amazing the story is and the twists and turns it takes. It is truly game of the year worthy... and that's alot talking about a game that could barely function when it came out.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an excellent game which is improving with time.

I Again decided to play this game with latest patch version 1.61. As well the patch update on consoles which was FSR 2.1(if i am not wrong). A Good game .I am happy that the glitches are reduced and even though the game runs smoothly for me i would still like more optimization.

Cyberpunk 2077 review for 2023

I've played this game about 4 times since it's launch in December 2020. And oh boy I never doubted this game once. sure it was a bit of a buggy mess back then. But the gameplay the story and the variety never left me bored with this game at all. First the characters and oh boy I loved all of them from the mysterious. Goro Takamura to the jokey but nice at heart Jackie Welles the characters never left me feeling bored especially johnny silverhand with his silly remarks against V. my only complaint is that adam smasher should of got alot more screentime in my opinion! Second the story and overall I found the story great with almost no complaints. except for the quality drop off from Act 1 to Act 2 there both good but act 1 just felt a little more focused on more. and my opinion and it really shows (but there both great) the basic premise is that your V a badass that you create as the game progresses through your play style but unlike the Courier from fallout new Vegas. were you build him through the story and gameplay or the reputation system V is a Real character with a back story. granted backstory you choose from the three lifepaths but he's still a character that gets developed through the story you meet Jackie Welles and you both become friends as you grow through popularity and word through the street of night city. You meet a fixer named Dexter Deshawn a well known fixer who offers you a job to take a Biochip from arasaka. As he tasks you to go get a spider bot known as a "flathead" from Maelstrom. And that's the basic premise that I can give for now you should honestly play the game yourself too see it unfold for yourself it's truly worth it! Three the gameplay now for me the gameplay is rewarding satisfying and addictive. For one the variety is amazing with shotguns tech shotguns pistols smart pistols assault rifles smgs katanas chainsaw blades and a whole lot freaking more! Sadly the variety can't be said for the enemy's it's either guy with gun guy with mantis blades that can teleport and maybe a mech and a Robot if your lucky however the side bosses and actual boss fights are pretty amazing! I can't say most since there part of "spoilers" but there all pretty good what I can mention is cyberphyscos there pretty fun to fight If easy If your weapon has elemental damage. The skill tree for the gameplay is also pretty good and defines your play style ALOT. As you put your attributes evenly spread out across all skills or focus on two to three for your build. it really depends like if you like stealthy gameplay than focus on cool or if you like quick hacking (like me) you focus on intelligence it's really cool and it's one of the biggest skill trees in a game I've seen at least. but within this skills are bonus perks such as "quick hacks apply to the enemy 30 percent faster" stuff like that is worth grinding your skills and ultimately making your life a grind fest (like me). overall cyberpunk is a very fun enjoyable ride with great characters great gameplay variety (mostly) and a great story overall cyberpunk 2077 is a 9/10 and I would absolutely recommend you play it before you die thanks for reading my review!

Phantom Liberty is the perfect excuse to revisit a truly reborn Cyberpunk 2077

SHOULD I PLAY CYBERPUNK 2077: PHANTOM LIBERTY? Yes, you should play Phantom Liberty, but now is a great time to return to Cyberpunk 2077 itself and experience it as it was originally intended. Cyberpunk 2077 has a messy history of unimaginable hype, crushing disappointment, incremental updates, and now, finally, its first and only DLC, Phantom Liberty. The expansion is a thrilling addition to Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 in PS5

Night City Shines Brighter Than Ever: Cyberpunk 2077's launch was a storm of anticipation and controversy. While its initial state didn't quite meet the sky-high expectations, CD Projekt Red has been diligently working on improvements, and in 2024, Night City shines brighter than ever, especially on the PlayStation 5. A feast for the cybernetic eyes: The visuals have undergone a stunning transformation. The neon-drenched cityscape pulsates with detail, from the grime-caked alleys to the chrome-plated skyscrapers. Ray tracing bathes every scene in realistic lighting, adding depth and immersion. Gone are the blurry textures and pop-in that plagued the launch version. Night City now feels truly alive, a visual spectacle that constantly begs to be explored.

It's hard to think that CYBERPUNK 2077 (2.1) is GOOD now!

GET IT ON THE STEAM PAGE I've never been a fan of Cyberpunk 2077; I bought it when it first came out to give it a try and then refunded it after 2 hours since the only good thing about it was that it was DRM-free which allowed you to continue playing it after the fact if you wanted to. The fundamental gameplay was so awful owing to all of the incomplete aspects, the plot was what made it so fantastic. It makes you wish that publishers would just take a step back and let developers work on the game fully instead of pushing deadlines and releasing half-assed features, only to take another 2-4 years to repair the flaws. Then, of course, facing many lawsuits, losing millions, and losing trust. I enjoy where this game has progressed to, but it still needs work to fix many of the flaws.

CYBER PUNK 2077 (2.1) It's FINALLY happening!

Game: CYBER PUNK 2077 Platform: PC, XBOX, X/S, PS4, PS5 Genre: Action-Adventure, Open World, Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk Released: December 10th, 2020 Overview Not a big fan of the game and dislike individuals who think it's good? That's a reasonable judgment, given the road they chose by releasing it as an unfinished product, and I agree that it's a massive waste of time to assist developers many years later, since it simply fuels their drive to do it again, potentially causing many other developers to dip their toes in money with no product mentality.
