The Best New Contender for Indian Road Sims!
As a long-time fan of Maleo’s work, I was excited to jump into Bus Simulator India (BUSSIN). It’s a fresh start with a massive amount of potential. The developers have captured the chaotic yet vibrant "Indian vibe" perfectly, from the iconic air horns to the specific environment details.
The Good (Pros):
Atmosphere: The environment and city layouts feel authentic. It’s not just a reskin; it feels like driving on real Indian highways.
Graphics & Environment: For a new release, the 3D models and lighting are polished, making for a very immersive experience.
Customization: Like their previous titles, the livery and mod system allow for a lot of creativity.
Areas for Improvement (The "Must-Adds"):
While the game is a must-try, it needs more localized content to stay on top:
Expand Gujarat: Currently, there's only one city in Gujarat. Adding hubs like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, or Surat would be huge.
State Pride: We need the GSRTC (Gujarat State Road Transport Corp) buses and state-specific number plates (like GJ registration) to make the regional driving feel real.
Dynamic Roads: Adding road construction zones 🚧 and lane diversions would make the gameplay much more challenging and realistic.
Terminal Upgrades: Indian bus ports are becoming very modern and luxurious. Upgrading the in-game terminals to look more "premium" would elevate the game's quality.
Bug Fix Note:
The POV/Cabin view still has some clipping/visual bugs on the side of the bus frame that need fixing for a smoother first-person experience.
Final Verdict: It’s a solid 4/5. If you love simulation games, you definitely need to try this. I’m still playing daily and will be looking for more ways to make this game better. A full gameplay review is also coming to my YouTube channel soon!
