After two years of waiting since pre-registration, a few hours ago I was finally chosen to test The Division Resurgence, the new mobile title developed by Ubisoft, known for its tactical, open-world games like The Division on consoles and PC.
STORYLINE: The city has fallen into chaos due to a deadly virus, and the Department of Strategic Defense (The Division) is the last line of defense to save the population. As a Division agent, you must investigate criminal groups taking advantage of social collapse, restore order, and gather resources to survive. The story unfolds through main and side missions, with an engaging narrative that links events from the original series to new, emerging threats, making every decision critical and strategic.
GAMEPLAY: A blend of third-person tactical shooter and RPG elements. You can upgrade your equipment, unlock special abilities, and take on cooperative missions with other players. Missions range from intense combat in devastated cities to strategic rescues and explorations in dangerous areas. It can be played on both touchscreens and gamepads, offering flexibility and comfort for both short and long sessions. Team management and coordination are key, especially during more complex missions.
GRAPHICS & SOUND: The graphics are surprisingly detailed for a mobile game, with well-crafted post-apocalyptic urban environments and realistic lighting effects. Optimization for modern devices allows for smooth frame rates even in densely populated areas. The sound system includes realistic weapon effects, dynamic environments, and an immersive soundtrack that heightens the tension during the most critical missions.
PERSONAL CONCLUSION: After two years of waiting, the experience of finally playing The Division Resurgence was thrilling. The game manages to capture the essence of the original series while perfectly adapting to mobile, with a compelling story, flexible gameplay, and impressive graphics. Perfect for those who love tactical and RPG titles on smartphones.
