The four-day festival-event most anticipated by the comics, video games, anime, TV series, cinema, role-playing and board games, music, visual arts, LARP, cosplay, and Asian and pop culture communities is back.
Among the first international artists at COMICON Napoli 2026, arriving in Italy for the first time, are Kazuhiko Torishima - the most influential editor in the modern history of manga, the one who discovered and shaped the careers of masters such as Akira Toriyama, Masakazu Katsura and Koji Inada, pushing them beyond their limits to create cultural phenomena such as Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball - and Koji “IGA” Igarashi, one of the most influential Japanese video game creators and father of the “Metroidvania” genre, known for revolutionizing the Castlevania series with the masterpiece Symphony of the Night.
After ten years, Don Rosa, one of the most influential and beloved authors of Disney comics worldwide, returns to COMICON Naples. He is an artist who redefined the Duckburg epic with the Scrooge McDuck Saga, an epic constructed by weaving together every biographical reference on the richest duck in the world present in the work of Carl Barks, winner of several Harvey and Eisner Awards.
A poker of aces from the video game industry will be the protagonists of talks and meetings with the public: actor and voice actor Troy Baker, legendary voice for the video games The Last of Us I and II, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Bioshock and Death Stranding, but also for the Emmy Award-winning series Love, Death & Robots; composer Austin Wintory, three-time Grammy nominee and two-time BAFTA winner, known for the PS3 game Journey and for his collaborations with Assassin's Creed Syndicate, The Banner Saga trilogy, ABZU, The Pathless, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, LEGO Fortnite;  Andrea Pessino, co-founder of the video game development studio Ready At Dawn®, a collaborator at Blizzard Entertainment, where he created the core technologies for several blockbusters in the WarCraft video game series, winner of numerous industry awards, including PC Magazine's "Graphics Software of the Year" award; composer and sound director Tomoyuki Tanaka, an artist who has worked on the soundtracks for iconic video game series such as Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and Yakuza, and collaborated with visionaries such as Koji Igarashi and Hideo Kojima.
Also from Japan, comic book artists Shintaro Kago and Satoshi Shiki: the former is known for his grotesque and experimental style, dubbed "Fashionable Paranoia" in the West, and has collaborated on international projects such as Flying Lotus's album You're Dead! and the Netflix film In the Tall Grass;  The latter known for his action-packed works, has won the hearts of fans around the world with his most famous works such as RIOT, KAMIKAZE, Daphne in the Brilliant Blue and XBLADE, and gained widespread recognition as the lead artist for Attack on Titan: Before the Fall and for Dororo and the Legend of Hyakkimaru, a modern adaptation of Osamu Tezuka’s classic Dororo .
Cartoonists Alex Maleev and David Mack will fly from the United States to Naples:
- Bulgarian by birth and American by adoption, Alex Maleev has collaborated with Marvel Comics on numerous series, including the celebrated run of Daredevil alongside Brian Michael Bendis. He has illustrated titles such as Moon Knight, Spider-Woman, Scarlet, and Iron Man, as well as projects for DC Comics and Dark Horse. He is also known for his ability to integrate photography and digital textures into his comics, giving them a distinctive and modern visual look.
- David W. Mack has collaborated with major international publishers, including Marvel, DC Comics, Dark Horse, and Image. He is the creator of the New York Times bestseller Kabuki and the screenwriter of Daredevil, the series in which he created the character of Echo, now a protagonist in Marvel and Disney+ productions.  He has worked on major projects in film, TV, and literature, including covers for Neil Gaiman’s American Gods and Norse Mythology, Chuck Palahniuk’s Jessica Jones and Fight Club 2, as well as the Emmy Award-nominated opening titles for the Netflix series Jessica Jones.
