Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a super nostalgic game for me as I remember playing the original game on my friends console as a kid, and also playing the gameboy version as well. So to see this series reappear was a great nostalgic trip for me. The gameplay is a lot of fun, with it's fast paced combat system and hard hitting combos. You can play this on your own, or with a friend and each player can control 2 characters in the game. You do this by a type of tagging system where you swap between the two playable characters as often as you like.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a 2023 roguelike beat 'em up game developed by Secret Base and published by Modus Games and Joystick. It is a spiritual successor to the 1989 arcade game Double Dragon II: The Revenge, and features a new story, characters, and gameplay mechanics. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic New York City, where the Double Dragon brothers, Billy and Jimmy Lee, must fight their way through hordes of enemies to rescue Marian, their girlfriend. The game features a roguelite structure, meaning that each playthrough is different, with new enemies, items, and challenges to face.
