The Invincible - A thrilling science-fiction story
2K View2023-11-07Walking sims have a tendency to be a downhill slope in terms of execution; on one hand, they may have very little actual gameplay, while on the other, might have a lot of gameplay but so much downtime getting from each destination to experience it.
I felt the story was great, and it truly opened my eyes to the vast possibilities of the unknown cosmos and how powerless we are to do anything about it in the end.

🚀The Invincible is for the most part a walking simulator game where you wake up on an alien planet after supposedly finishing your mission on a different planet and were meant to be on your way home with the rest of your crew. But, suddenly you find yourself on a completely different planet, and with no memory of what happened. Your crew is missing and you have very little to go on other than your map and the bits of memory that you regain over the course of the game.

The Invincible - BEAUTIFUL GAME, But Suffers From Slow Pacing
The Invincible has released and I tried out the game, while the Unreal Engine 5 shines in this game, giving the alien world a gorgeous look to it, I found that this game had too little gameplay and too much walking simulator. I expected more suspense and horror elements in this game, but I didn't feel much of that sadly.
