MY TAPTAP CLOUD GAMING EXPERIENCE
It was virtually unplayable for a variety of reasons.
TapTaps' new service, enables users to transmit DEMOs directly to their mobile devices from a virtual computer rather than directly installing them and taking up space, it's very intuitive but the functionality that is currently being implemented here just doesn't seem to function well because it's a PC game being streamed to Mobile.
When I say "Unoptimized" for the game service, I mean that while it is possible to play to some extent, you will not make significant progress due to the following issues.
In contrast to the PC version, which required minimal adjustment to master the controls, the Cloud Service iteration of this game demanded an excessive number of rapid reactions, rendering it unplayable because it can't keep up.
Due to the fact that it is a twin-stick shooter, the ability to simultaneously press buttons and move multiple joysticks is essential. However, only one analog joystick is available, and using Auto-Fire sometimes malfunctions and causes screen jolts when held down. Connecting a controller will not work since it is a stream.
It is impossible to move while firing both manually or with auto enabled; this is one of the system's greatest faults. It is possible to move and then halt moving in order to fire manually and repeat or to stop moving entirely to shoot, but you can probably image how detrimental that is to the actual gameplay because you need to keep moving otherwise the enemies will overwhelm you. I couldn't physically play.
It is crucial to mention that the Cloud Service cannot be played without an internet connection, as well as due to the massive amount of input currently required to actually play the game with this service, there is absolutely no way you could stably play this type of game if you have a bad connection with the server.
On numerous occasions, the game encountered frame skipping due to the connection latency, which essentially teleported me a few feet forward, frequently resulting in the end of the run at the hands of a large pack of robots.
WHAT IS THE CLOUD GAMING EXPERIENCE?
TapTap will initiate this event following its launch on December 23, 2023 ending on January 7th 2024. Indie Developers have the opportunity to exhibit their work to the TapTap community where users are able to vote for the titles they enjoyed the most.
Those who are acquainted with the June-introduction of the Pocket Playfest should not find this particularly unexpected as it was a very well received event!
The unique aspect of this event is that these games have not been made available for mobile; therefore, you will have the exclusive opportunity to play them here first!
How it works
This format is a double tournament in which participants have the opportunity to play (2) games and vote on their preferred game daily for an entire week. The game that receives the most votes will advance to the championship round.
Rewards
You really do not want to pass up this opportunity due to the cumulative value of the prizes which include 5 grand totals of $1,000 each, in addition to a Steam Deck and 3 Elite Xbox controllers, are things that will be awarded. Absolutely insane!
Competing Games
While the complete list of games to be exhibited is unknown, specific games such as the one presented here will be among the limited number.
Global Event
Despite the fact that this is a global event, this service will only be accessible in the United States and Canada to guarantee that participants have an exceptionally seamless experience devoid of 400-500 latency.
Overview
There is always a new game in the genre that was set in stone by Vampire Survivor. Every time a new game is released, some developers choose to just replicate it in its entirety, while others occasionally add a little bit of flair and style to the genre.
CORE DEVOURER pulls it into a more science fiction direction and artistically enhances it. Given that it is a DEMO and that there is a significant amount of content that is locked behind that, it does not have a great deal of depth at the moment. One can safely assert that this is an attempt at something that has not been done before. It is difficult, and it does offer some entertaining bullet hell components, but it is not like anything along the lines of TouHou, nor does it have a very great number of foes.
Graphics & Presentation
The images are bright and clean, but it takes some time to get used to it at first. If I am being really honest, I am becoming a little bit bored of the same old highly pixelated characters and images that are used in these kinds of games. As a result, I was pleased to discover that it was going to incorporate a more 3D model that was also more attractive and simplistic, but more importantly fresh and rarely ever done.
It is not difficult to understand. The process is straightforward and fundamental; monsters appear. By killing them, you protect yourself from being killed yourself.
Gameplay
In CORE DEVOURER, you will find yourself traversing an endlessly produced landscape in quest of bosses while also leveling up along the way. As you go through the game, you will be able to construct your very own robot by equipping it with particular cores and increasing its power. You will need to reload every once in a while meaning you can't just stand still and destroy everything eventually. It is not comparable to Vampire Survivor or any of those other games in which you acquire stuff and then attach them to your body. You will constantly have a laser that has to be reloaded every so often, which means that you will be more reliant on powerups and your own movement in order to actually make progress and to not die.
While fun, I have the impression that the whole gameplay is lacking something, which makes it rather uninteresting after a few consecutive runs. It could be because you are unable to face up against an infinite number of waves or a vast number of creatures, which makes the game more easygoing than it is challenging.
Conclusion
This game is not only entertaining, but it also provides a brief opportunity to engage in a game that combines elements of action and roguelike gameplay. On the other hand, I sincerely hope that additional features will be incorporated into the overall gameplay as well as the various game types in order to make the game more engaging and competitive to play through otherwise it won't amount to anything.
this IS good
