MY TAPTAP CLOUD GAMING EXPERIENCE
Good but unplayable.
TapTaps' new service, enables users to transmit DEMOs directly to their mobile devices from a virtual computer rather than directly installing them and taking up space, it's very intuitive but the functionality that is currently being implemented here just doesn't seem to function well because it's a PC game being streamed to Mobile.
When I say "Unoptimized" for the game service, I mean that while it is possible to play to some extent, you will not make significant progress due to the following issues.
The primary concern lies not in the excessive user interface present, but rather in the lack of a space bar input for dodging the initial encounter of the game, during which the player is required to dodge and counterattack the assault being made on you.
Both tapping the screen and tapping every active button produced no results. I tried until my time limit expired, but I was unable to exit the very beginning of the game.
Although it was a small portion, the playable gameplay was good. Not completely optimized, the user interface supports movement, interactions, and dialogue. I believe only the movement, sprint, and mind/settings sections need to be included, as interacting with the environment and characters only requires tapping the screen when you are near. On the contrary, the "E" does not really work the way it should.
As this is a single-player game in which player choices dictate the course of the narrative rather than constant input for movement and actions, a poor internet connection should not pose any significant obstacles. In addition, the game's latency and quality were both great, and with the exception of this user interface issue, nothing else was wrong with the Cloud Experience.
WHAT IS THE CLOUD GAMING EXPERIENCE?
TapTap will initiate this event following its launch on December 23, 2023 ending on January 7th 2024. Indie Developers have the opportunity to exhibit their work to the TapTap community where users are able to vote for the titles they enjoyed the most.
Those who are acquainted with the June-introduction of the Pocket Playfest should not find this particularly unexpected as it was a very well received event!
The unique aspect of this event is that these games have not been made available for mobile; therefore, you will have the exclusive opportunity to play them here first!
How it works
This format is a double tournament in which participants have the opportunity to play (2) games and vote on their preferred game daily for an entire week. The game that receives the most votes will advance to the championship round.
Rewards
You really do not want to pass up this opportunity due to the cumulative value of the prizes which include 5 grand totals of $1,000 each, in addition to a Steam Deck and 3 Elite Xbox controllers, are things that will be awarded. Absolutely insane!
Competing Games
While the complete list of games to be exhibited is unknown, specific games such as the one presented here will be among the limited number.
Global Event
Despite the fact that this is a global event, this service will only be accessible in the United States and Canada to guarantee that participants have an exceptionally seamless experience devoid of 400-500 latency.
Overview
MINDS BENEATHE US explores the terrifying subject of the future by showcasing powerful artificial intelligence that is capable of taking control of human minds. This is because human minds are easily accessible due to the fact that humanity has almost completely connected their subconscious thoughts to the internet.
Story
You will be following the main character, who is not who he actually is due to the fact that you are living in a world that is both Dystopian and Futuristic. He is a Combat Cyborg mind that has been implanted into humans in order to use their bodies as a means of interrogating criminals without arousing suspicion.
A powerful apparition that emerges and sets you free after you have been instructed to do things against your "free will"ย sends you into the mind of another human being far away. Everything you do will have repercussions. You have no idea who this person is, and you are unable to access all of his memories; yet, everything that you say and do will come back to haunt the both of you. It's eerily something we are humans are all too fearful of, the threat of AI becoming much more closer to reality.
Graphics & Presentation
It is impossible for me to express how impressed I am with what they presented in this DEMO, not only in terms of the visual aspect but also in terms of the beautiful and straightforward melodies and sound effects. It is extremely well done, and it gives you the opportunity to relax and take in the world that the developers have put together with each and every scene, with a simple yet detailed design. In spite of the fact that the DEMO was only thirty minutes long, there was a great deal of charisma and dialogue that stood out from the rest. The world appeared to be alive
Gameplay
The gameplay seems to consist of interacting with characters, making decisions, and potentially participating in certain quick time events. This is because you are a high-class combat unit, thus you will engage in these activities from time to time. At this point in time, it is not possible to determine whether or if there will be further gameplay that is hidden beneath the surface in the future. What I was able to observe at this moment, however, indicates that this seems to be building up well!
Conclusion
Out there, there are a number of games that are modeled around CyberPunk, and they are released on a regular basis, though there are very few good ones that are able to completely capture your attention, whether it be through the specifics of the visuals, the story, or the gameplay in general.
I cannot wait until this game is released in its entirety so that I may immerse myself even further in the narrative. My curiosity is piqued by the fact that people have uploaded their thoughts to the internet, that they are susceptible to being manipulated, and that artificial intelligence gaining control of the world.
There are a great number of questions that need to be answered!
