Game: Love and Deepspace
Platform: Mobile
Genre: Otome, Dating Simulation, Romance
Overview
Love and Deepspace is an Otome, a game that reaches out to women (mainly young) and shows them the love, care, and attention that they deserve. Given that I am male and that this game is not marketed toward me, my experience was unique. I respect the effort that went into developing this and can't help but feel a little envious.
Story
This is a pretty well-written game in terms of both story and characters, especially given that there are fully voiced moments virtually everywhere. I suppose I should point out that, while the story is excellent, it is extremely long. Up to (2) hours of dialogue and getting to know each of the love interests are required before you can take control of the game and begin experimenting with the other elements.
If you can tolerate it for that long, it will eventually open up and be 10x better.
Graphics & Presentation
While I don't watch Korean dramas, videos, or listen to albums by popular guys, I couldn't help but feel like I was because of how attractive each of the men were and how they lead themselves about each conversation you would have with them.
Their flawless skin, eyes, and features, all polished to perfection, were stunning. I can see why woman would be attracted to such elements.
While there is voice acting, I couldn't really enjoy anyone but Rafayel since his voice seemed to have feeling behind it, whilst the others sounded out of breath and soft, or dare I say, AI generated? It could have been my imagination, but it didn't seem like they wanted to be here, if that makes sense. Which I believed would be off-putting or make the recipient feel unwanted and unloved.
Aside from the visuals, there is great music while idle and in ambient settings while on a date. I couldn't have imagined a greater blend of both components.
Gameplay
The combat is the only gameplay here but that's aside from sitting back and reading and scrolling through literally pages and pages of paragraphs while shifting through your conversations with your lovers and to finish your daily/weekly activities.
Loved the combat; it was fast-paced though duller than I had hoped, but the animation sequences based on which man you have as your assigned partner more than compensated, I just wish that there were more of it, to break up the tempo a bit.
Conclusion
If you feel like you are a wonderful young lady who simply wants to be loved and interact with the man of your dreams, Love and Deepspace can undoubtedly fill that void for you, even if it is only temporarily. I believe it will help you long term.
