Disney and Epic Games to Create an Expansive, Open Universe of Games and Entertainment Connected to Fortnite:  Disney and Epic Games will collaborate on a new universe of games and entertainment that will expand the reach of Disney stories and experiences. Disney will also invest $1.5 billion to acquire a stake in Epic Games alongside the multi-year project. The new persistent universe will offer several opportunities for consumers:

Disney announced that it has acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Fortnite developer Epic Games with an eye toward collaborating on “an all-new games and entertainment universe that will further expand the reach of beloved Disney stories and experiences.” This collaboration will include Disney-owned franchises including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Disney says the plan is for this to be a “world-class games experience” that has interoperability with Fortnite, but will also be a “new persistent universe” of its own powered by the Unreal Engine.

✨Overview Disney Realm Breakers is a mobile strategy game that combines elements of tower defense, strategy, and role-playing. The game features a wide array of Disney and Pixar characters that players can collect and use in battle, each with their own unique abilities. Players must strategically build and upgrade their towns, gather resources, and engage in TD and strategy MMO combat to push back the forces of darkness and save Noi. The game was made available recently in a soft launch capacity for select regions, including the Philippines, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
