Hey guys, this is one of my recent ranked matches with a friend of mine (ft.AJB) doing a duos masters ranked game. We did pretty well here, had some hiccups here and there, but overall a decent match. If you look closely we had a slight miscommunication (where we ended up having three healers😅). Hope you enjoy the gameplay!
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT-
Cannonball Placement - I still on occasion will miss what I think is a simple cannonball shot. It happens less and less, but sometimes it’s clear that it was a bad shot.
Cutting Charges Short - there is an art to Fades charges because even when you miss the intended target you usually (if running in a path of importance) will hit someone else that’s trying to get in position. Cutting a charge short can make you a sitting duck and that can be a problem with a more experienced team, not cutting short can leave you out of a rescue-able position.
Fight disengagement - there were some moments that I know I could have backed off a fight but felt like I could strong arm it and failed. If I had more experienced DPS those would been secure kills but you can’t always rely on that. I need to be better at determining when to walk away from certain engagements. I must remember…

AREAS THAT I DID WELL-
Choosing when to enter the Objective - I don’t just walk into the objective. I try to get my entry shots on the enemy team before I start the frontal engagement. I try to take away the 50/50 of the fight and somewhat put the odds in my favor. I also try to locate the healers if possible to try and create a path towards them.
Ult utilization and placement - I popped some pretty noteworthy ults this game. I have been making sure to pop ults at the most optimal times (when everything is the most chaotic, when most enemy players are not at full hp, when the enemy team is grouped up, and usually directly after pinning someone to at least secure 1 initial kill). I’ve also been working off the premise of “if it can’t kill at least three, don’t pop it”. With killing at least three enemy players my ult gauge is restored back to between 30-40 percent. Which makes popping the next ult that much faster.
Ult watching - There’s is a moment in the match where I knew that the Tigris ult was eventually coming and knew I had to keep an eye on it. I know the audio queues of most ults and try to read what ults are selected from the title card display before the match. I knew Tigris was saving his ult for towards the end of the match (because I hadn’t heard it all match) and had to put a stop to it. Doing that saved the team and bought us some more time.
THE STATS FROM ALL THREE ROUNDS:
28 kills / 9 Deaths / 12 Assist - Over 3 Matches
hope you enjoyed,
