I Learned A Lot by Losing to Leaderboard Players😏😅

I Learned A Lot by Losing to Leaderboard Players😏😅

2K View2024-03-03
So late last night I got chance to play with and against the number 5 and number 12 ranked global players in 5v5 mode for three games (ozelic/lotus) which was some of the most fun I had in a while. I got chance to rewatch my gameplay and came back with some lessons and areas of improvement from all three games. Here are my findings and new found understanding.
You dont always have the range - sometimes a much needed engagement is out of reach. As a tank main its hard to accept that you can’t just jump down on people all the time every time. Be aware of your limitations and focus on your job (keeping the payload moving). I made a few bad plays by over extending.
Let the dps handle it - have faith in your dps to handle it. Even when they don't, try to put yourself in a position to stay alive and ready to reengage. You don't have to run all the way back to spawn but utilize side lays to stay and wait for the collective push.
Sometimes the best way to handle a threat is wait- if you push alone, all eyes are on you. Even if you manage to get to the payload, you wont keep it. Wait for the team for coordinated pushes. Its a case by case tip, but when its a SS lobby, its safer to play on the side of caution.
DPS have carrying privilege, you don’t - By playing these game I’ve had to face a hard truth that DPS players have a massive leg up in carrying potential. So with that I can let myself off the hook in some regards. I need to stay objective focused and thats all you can do.
ALSO FOR THE RECORD.....the game we did lose, we lost by 11 seconds😏😅 so not that bad lol

Why it’s so important to be this or that, and not just having fun…? 🤔🤗🙏🏼

Good question, I do have fun, but I'm also playing more competitive. I think that casual play should be fun and exciting, but also thought out and strategic (but also this was a ranked game against global players so....lol). I'm the type of person that doesn't believe that fun means carefree, if that makes sense.

Am so excited to play in higher ranked matches, sadly enough am stuck in diamond since people have little game knowledge.

I completely understand how you feel. Being "rank stuck" is one of the most annoying things. Game sense comes with time and repetition (but also I over analyze this game lol). Try to vibe with at least a duo partner, and get an understanding of their needs and weakness and try to push ranked together (solo Qing in any game is not the wisest move for effective team play). Hope to see ya out there, and best of luck!

3 Round Masters Ranked Game: FADE: 004 [T3 Arena]
Hey guys, this is one of my recent ranked matches with a friend of mine (ft.AJB) doing a duos masters ranked game. We did pretty well here, had some hiccups here and there, but overall a decent match. If you look closely we had a slight miscommunication (where we ended up having three healers😅). Hope you enjoy the gameplay! AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT- Cannonball Placement - I still on occasion will miss what I think is a simple cannonball shot. It happens less and less, but sometimes it’s clear that it was a bad shot.

TANK PRACTICE: FADE: TDM: 006 - Aggressive Gameplay + Analysis in Description [T3 Arena]
Hey guys, I got chance to play with some EU players and was asked to play TDM. I don’t usually play the mode with other people because I use this game mode to practice different mechanics and better my understanding of the vanguards in game instead of being kill hunger. This time around I decided to see what would happen if I stayed objective focused and played as aggressive (and effective) as possible.

How can I improve my gameplay?
Let's try to construct the best guide to help us noobies how to improve. (Although some old players could us the advice just saying!!) Can we say that to win pubg we have to have: 1- Great Aiming skills. 2- Good strategic thinking 3- Communication skills with the team (if played) 4- Choosing location in the fight (covers and hard angles) 5- Maneuvering the finle circle Now to . The Advices: 1- At first, always push so you overcome your fear. I made the mistake of not pushing bcs people told me to but it made me a coward and a camper. Nothing wrong with camping, it's just embarrassing if it is the final circle and I die easily and horribly 😞🙈 Later I pushed alot and I am not scres now. I still die but I am not scared. 2- Practice in Training Ground and Cheer Park. I like the Cheer Park training because it makes me less lonely lol. I practice also in the Training Ground. It helped me alot. 3- WOW Maps I didn't know there were amazing. I like a certain one I am addicted to it now for a month. It is a 4vs4 in the mall in Erangel. I saw a yt short where you can train your aim vs pots endlessly. If you have those or any WOW maps codes please share. 4- 1vs1 Oh how I hated when someone would challenge me in a room. I would get frustrated and my face will burn. I guess it tapped into some anger issues with me. But it always best to strengthen our weak points. And have faith: We are not bad, just need practice. I don't recommend the TMD alot because of the silde lol. My muscles remember the slide. There are some good WOW maps. If TMD is good you go for it. I guess it's helps with the speed of clicking scope and peak buttons. I died once just because i tried to open scope on an eney who clearly saw me. 5- Playing Full On Classic mode. Something about looting and and time investment in a classic mode makes me want to win a fight more. The focus is more. Play unranked or just don't care for now about your kd or rank. Just try to have fun 6- Emotional Management I think this is how Pubg taught a great Life Lesson. I used to worry easily but in a fight if I was nervous my iq drops to 0. I walk like a chicken screaming fearing its death. It was so embarrassing. Later I got angry. I screamed alot. Nothing wrong with that (depending who live with you lol) but the more I reserve my energy by focusing on the match and trying not to make any mistakes made at least proud of myself( even if I i was the chicken in the winner dinner) 7- Analysis of gameplay This is not welcomed by all players but I like to discuss the game I played with my teammates. Why did we die and how can we improve . If you're playing this game for 8 years making the same mistakes then that's just sad. I met players like those. They don't want to improve they just want to play. For what purpose I don't know. 8- Play with Winners only Not that they always win(although that's a plus sometimes) I mean people who talk about how to win and actually believe they can win no matter how noobs they are. I you believe from the get go that we are going to lose then where the fun in that? Or they would say the finle team is pros don't sweat it!!! Well I will make them remember my name at least by doing my absolute best. Please don't play with losers, they will just make you one. Find optimistic realistic players who believe in you and themselves no matter how noobs you are. No sure if they are helpful advices. I love this game and it makes happy see people improve in it.
