The “Pump-Fake”
The Pump Fake is when you give an enemy the illusion of focusing on one target but actually changing direction and charging at them instead. Be observant and create a false sense of opportunity to allow and enemy to enter your line of sight. To make the change of direction more effective incorporate jumping and do a 90 degree turn mid air to pull this technic off successfully. Try to time the enemy players jump pattern to catch them right before or as soon as the hit the ground.
The “Shoulder Tap“
“Shoulder Tapping” is the ability to control which enemy hero you intend to pin in a series of heros, by choosing when to slightly lean your hitbox to the left or right. Try and stay slightly outside of the line enemies and lean in once you’ve secured your chosen target, and lean back out for a quick pin. The Fade charge animation has a very large hitbox and you can use that to your advantage. If you can tap the enemy players character models shoulder during your charge, the game will automatically place that character model infront of you so you can secure the pin. Best practice, try to shoulder tap non observant supports.
The “Step-Back”
The Step Back is a technic of going in one direction, possibly passing an enemy, and then immediately hitting a full 120-180 turn mid jump and charging in their direction. Lesser observant opponents won’t always hug angles and will be open for to successfully secure the pin.

I use and practice these technics in solo arena to get a better understanding of hitbox spacing. You will be surprised how effective understanding how your hitbox interaction with other players can improve your Fade gameplay! And as always..
Hope this helps,

But have you ever caught kazam mid flight with the plunder rush? Neither of us was expecting that I was just in a hurry to get to the car and he flew right in front of me

No I’ve never gotten that lucky, I usually get Kazamas when they are landing. I have plunder rushed into a 2nd Ult-ing Victor and made us float into an overhead platform before though😅

Well kinda😅 these are just some techniques that you can use as a bases to better understand the character, thought process behind these simple technics, and better utilization of the pulling mechanic Fades charge has.

ten 4 on that🫡. Funny I said that bc as long as Animation clipping been around it's allways seemly inhabits A gray zone of it's use.Becuase sometimes the devs know about and use it As A game mechanic sometimes they don't but leave it in of fix it,Sometimes it makes A bad character or ability more viable or makes it. op. I guess is how it's used and effect on the game. And not all clips are the same some take persise timing some don't..I Guess the what I'm trying to denote some say exploit others say unintended game mechanic. Also I didn't realize I told you about this b4 I was just browsing waiting for match if I knew I wouldn't of posted about it my bad I swear I'm not trying to leec 😑

Oh dude don’t worry about that man, it’s great great to run into someone that’s as interested in the mechanical analytics of gaming as I am☺️ I’m always down to learn and provide all of my finding with the community

TANK PRACTICE:FADE:005 - 23 Kill Game: Analysis in Description. [T3 Arena]
Hey guys, it’s been awhile! I got the urge to go back to T3 to check in and see if anything had changed (sadly nothing has), and wanted to play a few games. Little did I know that I would have the best game of my little T3 career. Im rusty for sure, but I made some powerful plays. I don’t know, I might try to make a comeback (probably not 😅). I hope you guys enjoy as always! ANALYSIS: AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:

Tank Practice: FADE: 001 [T3 Arena]
I’m on a mission to master all Vanguard hero’s, and my current mission is to get Fade fully understood. I’ve noticed some problem areas that I know that I can definitely improve on. This gameplay footage is me just trying to be more transparent about my starting point and give myself some new eyes to tell me where I can and should improve. THINGS IVE NOTICED THAT I CAN IMPROVE: -Charge cancellation

This is some gameplay from today. I’ve been really enjoying my time trying to master Fade and will say I’ve gotten pretty good with this tank. He’s probably my favorite Vanguard right now (after Jabali of course😏). I’ve definitely mastered shield placement and fight deescalation. Check me out☺️ AREAS OF IMPROVE: -Sense change I’m still missing some shots that I know if my sense was higher I would be able to land more cannon balls. Because of Fades kit, his primary fire needs to do some intro damage.
