Hey, TapTap community! 🎮 Let's dive into a hot debate surrounding one of the most popular mobile games: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). It's a game loved by millions, but is it really benefiting the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre, or is it causing more harm than good?
📱 **The Popularity**
MLBB has amassed a massive player base with its fast-paced gameplay, diverse roster of heroes, and competitive scene. It's one of the top-grossing mobile games, and its popularity shows no signs of waning.
⚔️ **The Controversy**
Despite its success, MLBB has faced significant criticism within the gaming community. Here are some of the major points of contention:
- **Copycat Accusations**: Many argue that MLBB blatantly copies elements from established PC MOBAs like League of Legends and Dota 2, leading to legal battles and accusations of stifling innovation.
- **Pay-to-Win Mechanics**: Critics claim that the game's monetization strategies, including expensive skins and power-ups, give paying players an unfair advantage, undermining the competitive integrity of the game.
- **Toxic Community**: The game has a reputation for having a toxic player base, with frequent reports of harassment and negative behavior, which can deter new players and create a hostile gaming environment.
- **Balance Issues**: Frequent updates and new hero releases sometimes lead to significant balance issues, making the game frustrating for players who feel that certain heroes are overpowered.
🤔 **The Debate: Good or Bad for MOBAs?**
- **Pro MLBB**: Fans argue that the game has made the MOBA genre more accessible to a global audience, particularly in regions where PC gaming is less prevalent. Its success has also spurred the growth of mobile esports.
- **Against MLBB**: Detractors believe that its practices harm the genre by prioritizing profit over player experience and originality, and that its negative community impacts the overall perception of MOBA games.
💬 **Your Thoughts?**
What do you think? Is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang a boon for the MOBA genre, or is it dragging it down? Share your experiences and opinions in the comments below!
I'd like to remind everyone (because there is always one), this post is not to excitement hatred towards Mobile Legends. It is to openly discuss the good and bad of a game, and I hope to be able to discuss about a game that I think has bad and good qualities in a respectable manner 💜

copycat: they used to indeed, but now they become their own brand pay to win: how? most flashy and paid skins actually present a disadvantage due to them being bright in colour and can be seen easily toxic community: Every competitive game has its toxic community. Just look at cod and lol balance issues: i would have to agree. i feel most updates are done while the developers are drunk.

they actually still mimic designs from other games. I would say the only thing that is uniquely there's is the UI. I won't explain the pay-to-win statement because that was poor wording on my part. If you compare MOBA communities( because that's what is both relevant and what i was referring to)you can clearly see that either they don't have a toxic community or they see their own inability to monitor the community so limit their ability to do those things. ML actually does neither of those things at most you will get a short time out period.

I have love and hate, on and off story of playing MLBB. My biggest disappointment is matchmaking.. You're still paired with dumbass egoistic player in mythic rank..
