I’m back, and today we are going to talk about a new underrated gang-based first-person shooter game Urban Heat. While it’s not that new, it’s been flying under the radar despite being a blast to play, especially on low and mid-range devices. I've been playing this game from past few months, and today, I'm giving you a full overview, covering gameplay, UI, weapons, and more. By the end, you’ll know exactly what to expect before installing.
Gang System Overview
One of the standout features of Urban Heat is its unique gang system. There are three gangs in the game, each hailing from a different country, and they embody the style of gangs from their respective nations:
1. Goodfellas (Japanese Gang)
∆This gang consists of four members, each specializing in different weapons: sniper, SMG, LMG, shotgun, and assault rifles.
∆Their appearance is inspired by traditional Japanese gang aesthetics.
2. Street Gang (Mexican Gang)
∆Similarly, this gang also has four members, each a specialist in different weapon types.
∆The gang’s look and feel are rooted in Mexican gang culture.
3. Crop Gang (American/European Gang)
∆This gang mirrors the style of American and European gangs, again with four weapon specialists.
To unlock new weapons and gang members, you need to level up each gang separately. Each gang has its own ranking system and missions, which adds depth and keeps you engaged in progressing through the game. You can track all of this in the gang progression section.
Character Selection and Customization
Choosing your gangster is straightforward—just head to the characters section, select your gang, and pick your member. For weapons, the gunsmith is where the magic happens. You can fully customize your loadout and choose from various perks to enhance your gameplay. The gunsmith feature is surprisingly comprehensive, which blew my mind the first time I used it!
Contracts and Black Market
Contracts are where you’ll find your daily and weekly missions, which help you earn money. The black market, or store, is where you can buy gear for your gang. Each gang has its own unique store with different items, and you get daily free cash, so don’t forget to claim it!
Graphics and Maps
Urban Heat features a blend of art, cartoon, and realistic styles in its graphics. The visuals are bright, appealing, and optimized for mid to low-range devices. The gangsters look incredibly cool, and the maps are engaging and fun to explore.
Game Modes
Currently, you can't choose from a variety of game modes, but the available ones include Team Deathmatch and Control the Point, with three or four different maps to play on.
Game Settings
The game offers all the essential settings you'd expect in an FPS game: sound, graphics, controls, sensitivity, and more. This ensures you can tweak everything to your liking.
Gameplay and Mechanics
In terms of gameplay, the character movement is smooth and fast, and the gun mechanics are solid. However, like any game, it has its quirks—occasionally, the fire and aim buttons might stop working, but it’s not a frequent issue.

User Interface (UI)
The UI in Urban Heat is clean and simple, with everything you need on one page. It’s easy to navigate, so you won't have trouble finding what you need.

If I had to rate this game, I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10. It’s definitely worth trying out.
