According to a report from South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, the mobile version of PalWorld is currently in development, with KRAFTON responsible for the project. Industry sources reveal that KRAFTON has recently established a development team for PalWorld Mobile within its PUBG studio and has begun recruiting staff, including a technical director, to work on the project.
KRAFTON stated that the mobile version of PalWorld will retain the original game's expansive open world, survival, crafting systems, and the enjoyment of adventuring alongside various "Pal" creatures, while optimizing the experience for mobile devices.
PalWorld was created by the Japanese indie team Pocketpair, and its Early Access release on PC and Xbox is scheduled for January 2024. Within the first month of release, the game surpassed 15 million units sold on Steam, with a peak of 2 million concurrent global players.
KRAFTON previously announced its "Scale- Up the Creative" strategy, aiming for further growth in global publishing. To achieve this goal, KRAFTON plans to continue developing new games and investing in promising companies, expanding its creative portfolio, and pursuing overall growth.
