So far, PUBG New State has seen only praise from me, but it has some flaws that should be addressed... These named reasons may also (or may not) be why players rather stay with other BRs.
1. Optimisation Issues
The optimisation for lower-end chipsets is fine, but the game still seems to use too much resources, no matter the settings, which may end up heating up your device, and that leads to lag and frame drops.
2. Lack of Ironsights
The ironsights themselves, followed by acquisition of scopes and other attachments are the symbol of Looting and Survival in Battle Royale genre. The game takes away that thrill and feeling by slapping red dot scopes on almost all guns. This also applies to oversaturation of loot and presence of buy drones.
3. Unfair Matchmaking
Unfair matchmaking AKA you getting thrown into lobbies full of sweats and edgelords whilst being low rank. Getting matched into full bot lobbies is unfair matchmaking too, and it is present. Although this is reasonable because of the low playerbase.
4. Full-Time Focus on Microtransactions
Focus on microtransactions (skins, passes, subscriptions, crates...) rather than fixing the said (or unsaid) problems to guarantee a healthy and fun player environment.
Well that's all for now. These are the problems (and there are much more) that I've stumbled upon coming back to this game. It still has a lot of potential as a true successor to PUBG, but if Krafton and PUBG Studios don't take their heads out of their asses, we might see yet another sunset of a nearly perfect game.
