A Relaxing Fun-Moonstone Island [60-Sec. Review]

Moonstone Island is many things. It’s a monster fighting/catching game with a card battle system. It’s a crafting and resource-gathering chore quest on floating isles in the sky. It even has light social and dating sim elements in there as well. All of this is wrapped in a cutesy, 2D pixel art package. We live day to day and have to manage our time and resources wisely to accomplish as much as we can in our allotted time. These activities can range from mining rocks, cutting down trees, crafting a whole bunch of things, planting and harvesting crops, you name it. There’s a lot of hidden treasures in the wild and smashing a rock open might sometimes lead to a hidden dungeon beneath.

Whether you see this game at first as a vivid and cheerful open world island hopping adventure or something on the lines of Stardew Valley, you'll realize how bleak and uneventful it is at its core once you've sunk a handful of hours into it.
